Great place to stay in Ankara

The hotel is located on the slope of the Hisar hill. You can easily reach Hisar, museum of Anatolian Civilisations, Temple of Augustus.
Pro: good breakfast on the terasse with a nice view of the city, friendly and helpful staff, good wi-fi.
Contra: for me there was nothing negative, but I should point that the hotel is located on the hill, it also does not have a lift. It is also 15-20 minutes to the metro. So may be a bit difficult for elderly travelers.
In general I would reccomend this hotel.

Cute hotel near Ankara castle

I stayed this hotel June 2018. I like the location near Ankara castle. The room is cute ottoman style as I saw the website. Wifi and AC worked well. I also like my terrace and view. It is quiet night time, so I got nice sleep. Breakfast is ok, but the view is great. Stuff were very helpful. I walked to Ankara castle around sunset time. Some tourists had same idea going to castle to see the view. Daytime is nice,but sunset(after sunset also) time view was amazing, You will see 360 degree view from the castle. I was very happy about I did. In the morning, I walked around the hotel and near the castle again. There are many café, restaurants and shops around. This is great hotel with reasonable price.

Nice and cheap hotel in Ankara but in a very poor location

The staff were very helpful and obliging in all dealings with them. The room was OK and the balcony was nice.
Several flights of stairs and no lift/elevator but this was ok since staff helped us with our luggage. The breakfast was pretty poor but served in a nice breakfast room. Now, this is really NOT the hotel's fault but the location of the hotel in Ankara is really not good. The busy businesses that thrive during the day all close at sundown and the whole area then takes on a very unloved and uncared for atmosphere. The streets in the area at night are dark and possibly dangerous in a major city like Ankara. I needed to go walking in the area at night and felt very ill at ease being out and about after dark. There are very very few places to eat anywhere near the hotel so, please beware and don't go walking at night is my advice. JMV

I don't recommend

No elevator, very poor breakfast- very small quantities and same few items everyday, no real cleaning of the room but only arranging bed-sheets, no transport vehicle to airport but they call a taxi and take large commission from you, no coffee or tea in the room, location is far from shopping centers and down town, located in a poor area, noisy, staff spoke very little English, what you see on the internet is not what you see in reality.

Not the best place for foreign tourists ...

Pros: OK breakfast, decent location near old town tourist attractions, staff provided a good local map, water cooler available to refill my water bottles, clean room, good desk with comfortable chair, good wi-fi ...
Cons: Staff spoke very little English. Bed was not comfortable, room was not secure (door to balcony left open after room cleaning - would be very easy for someone to get in), location not near any metro stop ...
