We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was delicious with a great variety of choices every day. A special thank you to the animator Ege, who was amazing, friendly, and full of energy. He made our holiday even more enjoyable with his enthusiasm and great entertainment. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to come back again.

A bit disappointing.
We have just returned from our stay at Well Palace Side and, although we still had a lovely family holiday, we unfortunately came away feeling disappointed with the hotel overall. There were definitely some positives, but for us they were outweighed by a number of issues.
On arrival, the reception area was spotless, and the reception staff were polite, welcoming and efficient. Our original room was modern, nicely decorated, had plenty of storage and excellent air conditioning, but the view was extremely poor and the balcony had a strong sewage smell, making it unpleasant to sit outside. After speaking to reception, and thanks to my partner being very persistent, the manager arranged for us to move to a room overlooking the pool. We really appreciated that our concerns were listened to and acted upon, so full credit to the management team for resolving the issue. The new room was a significant improvement.
The rooms themselves are modern, comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of storage and excellent air conditioning. The Wi-Fi was also excellent throughout our stay, with a fast and reliable connection everywhere we needed it.
The absolute highlight of this hotel is the swimming pools and water slides. They are excellent and kept both of our children entertained for hours every day. If you’re travelling with children who love the water, this is definitely where the hotel excels.
I also want to make a special mention of the lovely lady making the fresh gözleme each day. She was always warm, friendly and welcoming, and it was clear she took great pride in what she was doing. The freshly made gözleme were delicious and easily some of the nicest food we had during our stay.
Some other members of staff were also genuinely lovely with our children, taking the time to smile and interact with them, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, this wasn’t consistent, as other staff came across as rude or uninterested. One incident summed this up well. My partner politely pointed out that another guest had been waiting before someone else at the buffet, only for a member of staff to shrug and laugh rather than try to manage the situation.
Sadly, the biggest disappointment was the food and dining experience. The food quality in the main restaurant was poor, and dinner each evening was absolute chaos. There was very little choice for children, making it difficult to find suitable meals. We also had two à la carte meals included with our stay, but neither restaurant offered a children’s menu. We were advised to bring food from the buffet for our children, but considering the lack of suitable options available there, this simply wasn’t a practical solution.
The buffet itself often felt unpleasant to use. Many guests ignored basic buffet etiquette, with people putting their fingers directly into serving dishes. There seemed to be very little queuing or waiting for others anywhere in the hotel, particularly around the buffet, making mealtimes stressful and frustrating. While I appreciate that guest behaviour is not the hotel’s fault, there appeared to be very little effort made to manage it.
The hotel itself has a rather confusing layout and feels surprisingly cramped despite being a large resort. It took us several days to properly find our way around. Air conditioning in the communal areas, particularly the hallways and the main restaurant, was poor, making these areas uncomfortable during the hotter parts of the day.
Although the pools and slides are fantastic, there simply aren’t enough sunbeds available, so finding somewhere to sit can be difficult.
One of the biggest negatives for us was the amount of cigarette smoke. Smoking appeared to be common throughout the hotel, and both of the rooms we stayed in smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke, suggesting previous guests had been smoking inside them. By the end of the holiday, all of our clothes smelled of smoke. As a family travelling with young children, this was particularly unpleasant.
The evening entertainment was another real let-down. We found it disappointing throughout our stay, and there was no displayed weekly entertainment programme to show what was on each evening, making it difficult to plan our nights.
One thing we would highly recommend, however, is visiting the beautiful Old Town of Side. It’s only a short taxi ride away and has a lovely atmosphere, beautiful scenery and some fantastic restaurants. It became one of our favourite parts of the holiday.
Overall, Well Palace Side has some genuine strengths. The pools and water slides are excellent, the rooms are modern, the Wi-Fi is superb, the manager dealt professionally with our room change, and several members of staff—particularly the lady making the fresh gözleme—made a genuinely positive impression. However, for us, the poor food, chaotic dining experience, lack of suitable children’s dining options, disappointing entertainment, smoking throughout the hotel, the stale smoke smell in both rooms and inconsistent customer service meant the hotel fell well below the standard we were expecting. We still made wonderful family memories despite these issues, but unfortunately we wouldn’t choose to return.
