She stayed at the Edition old City Hotel during a trip to Istanbul between 01.06 2026 and 04.06 2026 and was very impressed. I want to start with the most important thing - the team at reception. These are the real professionals in their business!
The occupancy took place as quickly and comfortably as possible. I was put in a cozy, clean room, and, very nicely, a staff member personally walked me to the door. Despite the fact that I don't speak any foreign languages at all, the guys found an approach: clearly explained how the air conditioning works, showed the settings of the TV, and also detailed how to get more conveniently to the right places in the city.
Special thanks for the logistical help: at my request, they not only drew a route to the assembly point on the tour, but also explained where the nearest pharmacy was, and even called me a taxi to Galataport. In any situation, there was support - you can see that the guys genuinely care about the guests. Special thanks to Hussein, Murat and Kubi personally!!!!
Special thanks to the maids for the impeccable cleaning of the room and to the chefs for the hearty and varied breakfasts. I recommend this hotel to everyone if you appreciate not only comfort but also human attitude!

A boutique in the city
Truly a boutique, with a view of the city and very close to the grand bazaar and the Sultanahmet. Extremely positive experience in all aspects, friendliness of the staff, excellent cleanliness, and a super rich (Turkish) breakfast. I highly recommend it.

To ignore a high-value customer whose stay essentially pays your salary is unforgivable. He is a disgrace to the industry.
2. The Restaurant Scam: The bellboy initially tricked me into a 15-minute walk to a "Sky Restaurant" with astronomical prices—a clear kickback scheme. Regarding the hotel’s own breakfast: the food is cheap and low quality. However, the staff works hard. The brunette waitress was stressed and struggled with English but was very conscious, and the blonde girl was professional and polite. I tipped them 500TL each because I recognize hard work, unlike the lazy management.
3. Infestation: The rooms are infested with cockroaches originating from damp, broken refrigerators. The rubbish bins are rusty and peeling. Charging $66/night for a room with pests is a scam.
4. SPA Abuse: The receptionists (the Asian girl and her colleague) are toxic. After an incompetent massage from a beginner, they tried to refuse a card refund, claiming "we never refund card payments." On Friday, they lied to my face saying there were no therapists available and laughed behind my back as I entered the elevator.
