"Great Location & Good Value for Money!"

I had a great stay at Hamit Hotel Istanbul. The location is perfect, close to tram and metro stations, and within walking distance to many historic sites like the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the daily breakfast was fresh and delicious. I especially appreciated the kind and helpful staff, who made everything easy during my stay.
If you're looking for a central and affordable place to stay in Istanbul, I definitely recommend this hotel!

Misleading payment handling and long check-in delay

We booked for two people from November 5 to 10 for 180 euros. When we arrived, we handed over the 180 euros, but the receptionist took the money away several times and tried to give the change back in lira, which we did not understand. When we showed our booking on the phone, he suddenly said that we only had a reservation for two nights, even though our confirmation clearly showed five nights. He said their system must have been wrong. We did not understand why he took the 180 euros in the first place if, according to them, our booking was not for that period. After we questioned it, he returned the difference, but we still did not know the exact price for the two nights. After a long trip we decided to stay anyway, but even the room was delayed. They said ten minutes, but it became one hour, and no one informed us or offered even basic hospitality. It was a disappointing experience, and we felt misled. We would not choose this hotel again when visiting Istanbul.

Hotel scandal: pasta/wheat/rice meal, no meat or fish water alone!” Manager's answer. It's expensive

Dishonest. We discovered on arrival that our room was not booked. We had to spend 2 nights in another hotel. Meals included in half board were minimal: pasta, wheat, rice, no dessert or drink (only water was available). When we asked for an explanation, the manager replied: “No meat or fish, it costs too much.” Unacceptable and disrespectful!

rooms : small, old . Burn out light bulbs, asked to change : never changed...very dark room. Insufficient cleaning. Good breakfast. Hotel not to reccomend ! Choose another one.

Fair Hotel for sleep and shower

We stayed at Hamit Hotel for 5 nights. It’s a very basic hotel—suitable if you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower. The room was very small, barely enough space to move around, but since we were out most of the day, it served its purpose.
We didn’t have much of a view, but that wasn’t a major concern. The bathroom, however, was disappointing—the shower had visible mould. I asked for it to be cleaned on more than two occasions, speaking with both the front desk and cleaning staff, but nothing was done.
Our room had a double bed, single bed, and a sleeper couch. The couch is only really suitable for younger kids (under 10). My husband’s side of the bed was dented, and although we requested a room change, we weren’t assisted.
Breakfast was okay—same spread every day, but enough to fill us before we went out. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. The staff were friendly and tried to help when they understood what we needed.
Overall, it suited our basic needs, but it’s not a hotel where you’d want to spend time in. With so many hotel options in Istanbul, I will probably not choose this one again.
