After visiting Istanbul 12 times in 9 months - staying the most times on Point Hotel but also at Nippon and First Hotel my concrusions is that Point Hotel gives the most value for the money.
There have been some issues but the when you address the issue the helpfull people on the hotel take action right away.
The location and the breakfast on 9th floor is outstanding. In Istanbul Airport go right when you exit security, elevators go down to bus, driving directly to Point hotel , price 460lira, just ask for Taksim bus. Check in have a drink on Farao just opposite the street and take a nice walk (5 min) to Taksim Square. Have your Chai and a nice cake. Book table at Nusr-Et if you like steak, best steak in town. My favorite iskender kebab place was unfortunately transferred to an ice house, and the Turkish ice is not good, go for Gelateria instead a couple of them available.
The Point Hotel is perfectly situated for small getaways, they have spa, massage options etc. but I haven't checked them out I just like to stay local and the staff recognizes you every time.Furthermore the prices are very competitive, half price of First Hotel where they have an outstanding bar at 19th floor, but you can still go to the penthouse bar eventhough you are not staying at that specific hotel, enjoy Istanbul , I do all the time, my favorite places are: Tokyo, Istanbul, New York, Lisbon, and Copenhagen where I live.
Enjoy life and travel a lot - I hereby recomend Point Hotel Taksim

I booked deluxe room 27m2 non smoking .. they gave me other room smell of smoking and not dlsame my room that I booked

I stayed at this hotel last month but I had a different experience, the room I got last time was much better. This time the room was not that great the bathroom door doesn’t close, the pillows were very hard that I woke up with a bad headache. Also there was a smell of urine in the hallway. It was on the first floor.

I want to acknowledge and thank the manager of the Point Hotel in Istanbul because during our stay we had a mishap with a lost piece of electronic equipment, and when we asked for her help, Aysegul Ardic didn't hesitate to assist us immediately until we located it. Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant thanks to the entire team, led by this manager. Thank you.

Excellent staff at front desk, very satisfied customer service overall. Breakfast service was not that great but it’s worth the view.
