5 Star but adjustments on pool are strongly recommended
We stayed here in July with our family. The hotel itself is brand new, situated in a nice location in Istanbul's new Tersane area, and the rooms are well-suited for families. The staff are friendly and genuinely doing their best, and management seems to be very keen to deliver excellent service, and is doing so. However, there are a couple of points that need urgent attention.
Unfortunately, the pool area was a disappointment:
Pool Cleanliness: The wooden decking around the pool is constantly covered in seagull dirt and droppings. Given the wooden design, you would expect the team to sweep or wash it down multiple times a day. There are no proper morning checks.
Bizarre Pool & Bar Hours: The pool closes at 18:00, which is far too early during the summer. To make matters worse, while the pool area opens at 08:30, the pool bar doesn't open until 10:00.
Bar & Menu: The pool bar menu is misleading. They consistently lack basic items listed on the menu. For example, when ordering a smoothie, we were told it wasn't available because they had "no yogurt"—a strange excuse in Istanbul, where yogurt is everywhere. If an item isn't available, it should simply be removed from the menu rather than repeatedly disappointing guests.
Breakfast: The breakfast spread is fine, but it is identical every single morning, so it gets repetitive quickly if you are staying for more than a couple of days.
Final Verdict: It’s a lovely new property with great rooms and well-meaning staff, but management needs to address the severe lack of maintenance at the pool area and get their food and beverage operations.

Breakfast offered an excellent variety of fresh and delicious options, and all the restaurants we visited exceeded our expectations in both quality and service.

Perfect!!
Rixos Tersane Istanbul is the best hotel in all of Turkey!
The entire staff, from the moment you arrive at the entrance to the reception desk, is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Being welcomed like this is simply perfect!
The buffet is absolutely amazing, with a fantastic selection of delicious food.
Ms. Fatma makes the best sushi I have ever had! It is more than delicious!
Every single member of the staff is highly professional, attentive, and accommodating. We will definitely come back!

Thanks Rixos Tersane
We stayed at Rixos Tersane with our children and overall we had very nice time. Hotel is beautiful and the view is really amazing. Our kids loved Nickelodeon Play and also the swimming pool. They were very happy and didn’t want to leave. Only little sad thing is that these area close at 6 pm because children wanted to continue playing more.
