A Great Disappointment
As soon as we arrived we realised our expectations were not going to be met. The breakfast area was in the foyer, it looked more like a youth hostel.
Our room was a standard room- it looked like a student bedsit from the 1960s. Sparse, small with cheap ‘wooden’ furniture on the 4th floor overlooking a very loud construction site.It was truly awful affording nothing in the way of comfort, and looking nothing like the photos used to advertise the place.
A small tray with 2 cups and a couple of sachets of something sat on the side. When I asked the manager about a kettle- he said hot water was available from a kettle in the lobby- down from the 4th floor!
We sat for an hour deciding what to do coming to the conclusion to move elsewhere.
Fortunately we found another hotel in the Old Town which offered far more in the way of comfort and a proper restaurant.

Breakfast, on the other hand, is like a movie with only one actor: right, but no surprises. In two days you know all the tray delivery and not even the bread tries to reinvent itself.
Then there's the reception. Three receptionists, two of whom could work as figurants in the window of the English Cut: perfect posture, zero facial movement, and communication limited to exchanging the air they breathe. Spanish... not a word, and in English, just enough to understand that we better not keep asking.
The room: basic. Unpretentious decor and a mysterious scent of moisture... that wasn't included in the description. Cleanliness... how to put it... Turkish. We didn't see the broom or the mop on the days we stayed. Just enough to make it look like someone walked by, but without conclusive proof.
Conclusion: if it is your thing to leave the hotel at dawn and return to sleep alone, this place will serve you thanks to its privileged location. If you’re looking for more than a roof near the Blue Mosque, keep walking... Istanbul is full of options that don’t smell weird.

In 3 days never chnage the bedding use same old they come and tied up the old comforter and sheets.
