Not great

Only the location is good at it is close to hot air balloon flight area. Otherwise it’s very poor hotel with broken amenities such as broken toilet seats and soap dispenser. The housekeeping so bad that despite asking them to refill next day the soap, they didn’t do it. It’s a basic hospitality to keep some water on next day of the stay, they didn’t do it. The quality of everything in hotel is pretty much bad such as the toilet seat in the bathroom was of kids size and the towels had stained on them. The breakfast also had very limited options. I do not recommend here to stay for the view rather get up early to see the view by taking a walk on the road.

Generally good stay near Cappadocia

Stayed at the Ciner Hotel in Goreme with a tour group as we visited Cappadocia. It location in Goreme is away from the main area that has all the restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops; but still within easy walking distance. It was not very busy in the hotel since it was still early in their season. The comfortable room was fairly good size compared to other similar hotels we stayed in while touring Turkey. Amenities were basic but in good working condition. There's no restaurant but they provide breakfast was a standard buffet with some hot dishes and a reasonable assortment of items. Service was spotty but good with the baggage help on arrival and in the breakfast room. Generally good stay for the limited time in the Cappadocia region.

The pool is the reason for 3 stars, but if it not open then drops considerably

There is nothing lovely about this hotel.
The rooms are very shabby and basic and my bedding had a faint whiff of diesel. The bathroom was just tiny, definitely only one person fit at a time. Was there a view?..the window was small and had a heavy curtain so I don't know.
I don't remember any interaction with staff other than the guy who handed out the hot food at breakfast.
Breakfast was fair but inconsistent, no fruit the first day but oranges appeared second day...after fruit was requested. A pretty basic selection.
The pool looked great online but was closed, and looked like it had been closed for a long time.
Hard to tell if it's a new hotel badly finished, or very old and unloved.
Overall a bit of a grim place

Reasonable price, nothing special, around 5 mins walk to Goreme center. Suitable for short stay only.

Thirsty for water!

2 is a bit harsh for this hotel. 2.5 is probably more accurate. Best thing is pool and location, which is easy walking to town. The main negative is that there is no free water. I think thats a minimum for a 3 star. Breakfast was decent (free water there so stock up!) and rooms ok.
