Hidden Gem in Kampala!
Pre Check in – As the hotel is new with very little information, I was able to ask a local family member to visit before our arrival and check it out. They were super impressed and this gave me the confidence to confirm my booking direct via the Sarovar website.
Check in – On arrival we were checked in by Bahati on who is the guest relations executive! She was really personable and made our check in seamless. She was our main contact whilst staying and she was always happy to help. What a great first impression and a real asset to the hotel. We were also impressed with Isaac who is the bell boy – they both always had a smile when greeting us. There is ample secure parking too at no extra cost which is fantastic.
Rooms – There was 3 of us travelling for 12 nights and we booked 1 x twin superior (2 x single beds) and 1 x double superior (1 x double bed). Both rooms were fantastic! Clean and brand new. We were the first guests to stay in our room as we even had to set up the TV. The rooms were big enough for our stay and was in a modern design, we were located on the 3rd floor rooms 309 and 319. The bathroom was separated off the bedroom and it included a walk in shower. There was an LCD TV, safe, complimentary 2 x bottles of water and it had all the required necessities in both bathroom and bedroom. The room did have adequate storage space. Overall the room was very nice, quiet and very comfortable. There was also a little balcony with the double superior. The twin superior didn’t have a balcony but have the extra internal space.
Room Service – Room service was available whenever we needed it but we didn’t use this service.
Food – The hotel has a coffee shop on the ground floor and the main restaurant on the 1st floor where you can have breakfast and dinner.
The Breakfast – We paid for breakfast which we thought would be buffet daily but as this was a new hotel here was our honest experience. Throughout our stay the buffet was only on for 2 days (Eid and 1 other day). When the buffet was on it was great, it had juice, cereals, fruit, pastries, plus hot foods also a chef who would make omelettes or eggs as required. It was exactly as you would expect from a buffet breakfast.
However as the hotel is new and they are still trying to attract customers the buffet breakfast was not on (due to a low number of customers staying), this was a little disappointing as there was no real acknowledgement from the hotel about this. When we went to breakfast we were given a form to fill out which had items that we ticked and they went off to prepare our plates. The full list of items was not on the list and it was reduced, some items not listed where asked for and they did provide them to us. I fully understand why the hotel is not putting on the buffet breakfast daily to save on waste etc but I would rather have been told this prior to booking. The hotel should offer a reduced rate for breakfast until it is a full buffet. I personally would have not booked the breakfast knowing the set up and gone out as there are other local places like CJs close by who have amazing breakfasts for less cost. Currently the breakfast is not value for money. The staff at breakfast were very polite however it also should not take 30-45 minutes to serve an omelette off a tick list when there are only 4 people on average at breakfast.
The Location – The hotel is in a very convenient location and this is the main reason why we booked fit. It’s a great hub if you want to explore the city.
The Gym – The good sized gym is located on the 2nd floor. The gym is pretty quiet at all times of the day. The gym provides complimentary towels and a water machine. I went to the gym at various points throughout our stay and it was always pretty quiet. Big shout out to Sky who is the gym trainer and a cool guy!
SPA -The SPA on the same floor as the gym. Please note that the SPA is also not yet open (when we went) which again we were not notified about when I booked so again slightly disappointed with not knowing.
Kids Zone/Games room – The soft play area is open but the games room is not complete so no space for older kids to play computer games yet…
Overall – This hotel has all the makings of been a great hotel, obviously as its new its evolving but it is great. I would stay here again for sure. Please sort out the breakfast, games room and SPA! A huge thanks to Bahati (Guest Relations), Deepak (Head Chef), Issac (Bell boy), Sky (Coach) and all the security staff too! See you soon!!!

Exquisite!!!!
A truly luxurious experience from start to finish. The amenities and cleanliness were absolutely top-tier! The food is exquisite kudos to the chefs and platter presentations better than the 5star's have been to. Keep it up! Though the wine and swimming still miss,kindly think about it as a hotel.

Service Recovery
The service recovery at Sarovar Hotel was excellent. The Head Chef noticed we hadn't finished our meal and he thoughtfully packed something for us to take home. A simple gesture that showed genuine care for the guest experience. Thank you for the great hospitality.

It’s a new hotel which opened just recently. Accordingly the interior and amenities are fresh and modern.
The staff was friendly but unfortunately not up to the standard of the hotel. Services like breakfast, laundry, restaurant etc. don’t match the quality criteria of a 4* hotel.
Very noisy on some evenings until late night due to loud banquets on the upper floor.

AWESOME HOSPITALITY & INDIAN FOOD
Nice location, Rooms are excellent Most importantly Indian food ... & when we talk abt food cant forget indian chef deepak kshyap is gem of person... made me feel.like home .... About Ameneties I like Gym most as i am fitness freak.... Ambience is very good.... overall staff is very friendly ... housekeeping , resturaent, gym trainer all r excellent..
