Kumi is in a poorer part of Uganda and the hotel reflects that. It tries hard and was much improved from my last visit. Hot water consistently and lovely staff.

Says WiFi but only a few rooms have it and they try to charge extra for the same size room that has WiFi. Plumbing is a huge issue, first room no hot water and when finally moved to another room hot water didn't make it to the shower. Slow if any response at blackouts. Maids very friendly and helpful - the rest of the staff useless, especially the manager. I would not recommend during the dry season! I won't go back there either

Fine for a night

We had been driving all day and managed to see the rock paintings near Kumi at daylight faded and the only option for the night seemed to be Kumi hotel. They had friendly staff, cold beer and descent, clean rooms on the ground floor. There were two options for dinner. Food was fine. Bit disappointed of the breakfast. We took off to the Bisina lake the next day for some fishing with the locals. Very nice area.

Good hotel in Kumi town

Nice hotel when you need a refreshment and passing through Kumi to check out the Nyero rock paintings..a historical sight Beautiful quiet place not to miss out while in Kumi town close to mbale town which is a bigger town and has a much better night life.

Blast from the past

How sad is it to write a review like this. What an awful hotel this is. The room basic and the shower so lime scaled there was a trickle of water. Service apathetic and meal service so slow it was untrue-and the hotel was virtually empty! This was a throwback to the Uganda I first visited in 1995. This could be a good hotel but I’d avoid it if you can
