Can't Complain for the Price

Stayed here for a night between flights. I usually stay at one of the airport hotels, but when I found a room at the Britannia for £25, I had to give it a try.
Location is handy enough for the airport- the 727 stops at the end of the road, or its about £20 by taxi. Less convenient for the city centre. There's a few shops nearby and a nice pub across the road.
The hotel itself is very basic, but fine for a short stay. My room was dated but clean and everything worked, although the bed was a bit hard for my liking. The shower pressure was good and there were no issues with shower pressure.
Public areas could do with a bit of work - the bar in particular had a works canteen feel to it.
Overall, its a basic budget hotel that is never going to be "good", but it offers excellent value and does exactly what it says on the tin. I'd stay again if the price was right.

A solid budget option which is pretty convenient for ABZ. Basic, clean and cheap with polite staff.

Basic stay if you don't want luxury

Stayed three nights on a coach trip to Balmoral. The hotel looks worse than it actually is. I am a relatively fussy eater but I found the food was hot and of decent quality. Value for the price. I did not enjoy the seating arrangements, more like boarding school! but this was probably due to the coach trip experience. Waiting staff were quick and overworked...and looked it!
Carpets etc are generally tired and badly fitted.
Beds were clean but both the bed and the pillows were extremely hard and I suffered with my back. The attitude of the reception staff woman left a lot to be desired.
Our room looked onto a flat roof which was covered in debris, cans, old socks etc....nobody showed any interest when I mentioned this.
The cost of the trip reflected the quality of the hotel but I have to say for a 3 star I have been in worse!

Thank you for your feedback from your recent stay with us, as you understand due to space we have to feed the coach groups together so we can have space for other groups and individuals.
We do have standard pillows on all beds throughout the hotel which are not to everyones taste.
