Room wasn't great for the cost (was pretty small, but is limited because of the type of building), however the bathroom looked like it had recently been refurbished, and the room was clean. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very helpful.

Clean and spacious room, sitting by the fire in the bar is lovely. Breakfast was delicious, however the room was freezing, the amazing staff member serving breakfast did turn on the heating but it didn't help much.

Genuine Olde worlde cozy country pub with magival menus and exceptional food and service !

We have booked our big christmas gather with Friends before at the fabulous Punchbowl so we had a good idea of the quality of food and service but it far out shone our expectations with the new chef and wonderful staff who juggled 29 covers plus a full house if other bookings at lunch time.
The starters were divine the mains beautiful.. never had a roast like it !!! the puddings totally scrumptious.
Johnny the manager was totally calm throughout as extra bookings turned up not listed and some folks cancelled last minute !!
Cannot praise the man highly enough …or Gary and the beautiful young women that served and cooked for us !! What a team !!
Next year were going to take the large dining room and have the place totally to ourselves !! Its so wonderful to have a go to for meals that go that extra mile it gets a 10/10 every time !!!❤️

Fantastic

Love the punch bowl been coming in here for a while now well every time we are in the lakes lovely cosy pub with great people especially David one of the locals . Great food and lovely staff Georgia, Lauran are so so lovely nothing is to much for them oh and can’t forget Gary and hope who we met and our last break this November give this place 5 stars ⭐️ can’t wait to go back .
