Royal Hotel
Ovaj hotel u georgijanskom stilu nalazi se nasuprot stanice Bath Spa i nudi izvrsnu kuhinju i besplatni Wi-Fi. Ima izvrsnu lokaciju u blizini trgovina i oko 650 metara od Rimskih termi. Slavni arhitekt Brunel projektirao je Royal u 19. stoljeću.

The room was not good, but the food was really good!
In fact, the room is not as high quality as I give, but all the staff, the food and the location outweigh the funny and different experiences in the old, skewed and crunchy house. Little bitch, slow elevator, sloping, narrow stairs. A lot of doors to get to the room where it got warmer and warmer and eventually it was like being in a sauna. But they had just had days of heat wave and the window could only open quite little and pull through was an impossibility. There was a fan in the room. The shower bath was SO bad that my otherwise careful husband had to give up a bath and so I did not try at all. The bathroom was quite small, but the toilet worked.
We had views to the railway station, but we were not plagued by noise except for a little roubery.
We ate for the evening and for breakfast and it was really good and as said all staff were super cute and friendly.
Limited parking nearby, but we had booked in advance.
The one night we had was pretty expensive, but it's probably due to the location which is prr.

The hotel was overall nice and in a very old historic building. It was an excellent location for walking through the old town. The weather was very hot and there was no air conditioning in the room. There was a fan that offered limited help. The elevator was out of service that we were told that was due to the hot weather. Also, on our second morning there, there was no hot water in our room, even after letting both the shower and sink faucet run steady for 15 minutes. The breakfast was good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Royal and its brilliant location.
The rooms are very tired and the whole hotel needs updating, but it was all very clean.
We enjoyed the excellent food and fantastic staff - especially Johnny.

Thank you for your review. Our hotel is a 200 year old listed building, so does carry a certain rustic charm. We are in the process of upgrading some of the rooms, while keeping its natural posture.

We were given a room on the 3rd floor originally however the whole floor smelt musty/damp and we had to request another room. The replacement room on the 2nd floor was a lot better, bright and fresh. You have to bear in mind that this is an old building but it is crying out for a full reburbishment. The staff are very friendly and helpfull.

Firstly despite the pictures on Hotels.com, this hotel does not have a pool of any shape size or description. Having got over that disappointment the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful beyond words. The hotel itself is a bit tired but it is starting to undergo, by the sounds of it, a fairly major makeover. Being an old building it has no air con but we were provided with 2 fans to help. I will be interested to see how the changes affect the property and will book this hotel again when we go back to Bath. The hotel itself is situated directly opposite Bath Spa station so if you are travelling by train it is ideally situated. Only a couple of minutes walk into the centre of town.
