Super nice!
The apartment has a very good location, close to the shops, bus station, train station, supermarkets, city centre, shopping mall and so on.
It includes all needed to spend good time in the city.
Peaceful and quiet spot in the city and recommendable.
Affordable price, at least for family.

Do not book!
Do not book this property! They mysteriously cancelled our booking just as we arrived to check in eventhough the payment for our week had already been taken. They claimed they had to cancel due to water damage. It was 2pm in the day and they would surely have known that earlier. I immediately tried to phone them and message them but they did not answer. My 15 year old daughter and I were left with no place to stay after an exhausting journey. If the cancellation was for genuine reasons, the owners surely would have met with us and helped us to source another place to stay. I believe they realised they could get more money by cancelling our booking as the European Athletics Championships was on. Booking.com were no help either. They just told us to go back on their app and find somewhere else to stay. They would not book something for us. They promised that similar properties were available and similar prices. They said we'd have to wait at least 7 days to be refunded. They didn't care that we might not have funds to book another place to stay. We had no choice to try book another apartment at twice the price of the original (over £1000). They immediately took payment and when we arrived to check in they also were not there and hours later after contacting Booking.com again and again we eventually were told they would not be honouring the book. Now we were down another £1000 and had nowhere to stay. Again Booking.com didn't not help in any way and told me we would have to wait at least 7 days for the second amount to be refunded. It was then I decided never to book with Booking.com again.. We walked the city and checked every hotel we passed until we eventually got a room in an Ibis hotel. It was lovely to talk to a real human and nit an AI so called customer service. I will never book private properties again and we only book directly with hotels.

The owner of this accommodation is mean, unfair and unreasonable !
We booked and paid for the accommodation on 1 July 2025 and intended to check in on the 4th July 2025. Unfortunately my husband suffered a heart attack on the 3rd July 2025 and was admitted to hospital. I immediately notified Ross, the owner of our need to cancel and I requested a refund. He refused and stated that the cancellation was too close to the date of check in ! Notwithstanding that I had made this booking two days prior ! He told me to claim the loss from my insurance and when I informed him that we were not covered he refused to reconsider my request. I found his attitude mean, unfair and unreasonable given our circumstances !

If you know what’s good for you AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Now I have never bee one to write a bad review just because I know that this is business and I don’t want to be seen as messing with someone’s income however this is definitely not somewhere that I would recommend to ANYONE who cares about where they lay their head. Even if it’s just for ONE night.
I hope that the owners temporarily close their business and go back to the drawing board.
Invest some of the money back into the property and hire staff that can upkeep.
On arrival we were told to meet a guy at a Tesco round the corner to collect keys.
No greetings or anything just the interest of making payment.
On first look the property doesn’t look bad. But when you take off your coat and start to settle in. You will be in for a shock and at that moment you will wish that you never handed over your money and you will want to repack and leave.
The house is filthy,
The built up Mould behind the bed is sickening.
The hair in the sink.
There is a cupboard which had clutter and rubbish thrown in it.
The stains in the sofa
The dirty cutlery
The wires hanging down from TV
Broken panels in the kitchen
The strong smell of cigarette smoke.
We did ask for a cleaner and explained that we were unhappy and he came and swept the corridor and left.
I went to Tesco and bought all the cleaning products and scrubbed the flat. To feel comfortable enough to stay the night.
Also if you do ignore and still choose to stay. Bring plastic cutlery and plates and cups.

PHYSICAL ASSAULT. DO NOT STAY.
Upon getting into the room myself and my partner realised that the room looks nothing like the pictures. All the while the man who showed us to our room was only concerned about taking out payment. Myself and my partner felt extremely uncomfortable about paying the full price of the room £123, and then paying another £250 ontop as a security deposit for a room that Is covered in mould. At this point the police were called by the guy, who refused to give his name, who worked for City view apartments. I told my fiancee that I would go downstairs and wait for the police to discuss the matter with them before this guy had the chance. While I was waiting for the police downstairs the city view apartments employee had called another man to come to the property.
At this point I am unable to gain entrance to the property. My partner had her arm slammed in a door and was held inside the apartment untill she made a payment.
Only once they realised she would rather a full refund than pay £250 deposit was finally allowed to leave, only after being kicked by the both men and her arm clearly hurt after being slammed in the door multiple times.
I'm currently writing this review from the Park Regis Hotel round the corner as we have now ended up paying for another hotel and are still waiting for booking.com to do something about these disgusting people.
