Over night stay

Booked for a night as a couple arrived at 10.30 am but check in time was 3pm but was allowed to park my car until our check in time which was a nice touch. Check in was quick, room was small with a sea view and rather nice but it was clean with tea coffee and a kettle supplied.add a toilet n shower in the room and central heating which comes on at certain times overall it was perfect for us.we was on 1st first floor but heard no noise from above and even tho the illuminations was on and people was walking up down road we heard no noise either . Overall it did the job and enjoyed our stay there. Thanks

Dirty room and uncaring reception

Quite aware that this is a £75 night hotel, however Tooth paste residue in the sink, litter on the carpet, dirty pillows, filthy furniture. A very unpleasant room.
We informed the reception staff, who offered no apologies and just looked at us like we were being snobbish about the room.
We cancelled at the risk of losing our money.
To be honest we could not stay there and be happy.
This hotel has changed its name to the blue waves.

What an absolute shame

We paid £60 for 2 people for 1 night with breakfast. For a hotel on the front & a sea view room I thought the price was very good.
HOWEVER..
Upon arrival the lady working at reception said we haven’t booked & basically told us to leave, when asking to speak to a manager it was resolved & we was given a room.
Which was a back room without a sea view. Straight away they resolved the issue (the hire manager) and we got the sea view. We stayed out till late and only came back to go to sleep. Pillows & bed comfy. Room reasonably warm. Mostly clean.
The next morning was a NIGHTMARE.
We got to the restaurant part (very unkept & needs seriously redecorating) for breakfast. The same lady that booked us in barley greeted us, just told us to find a seat. No good morning, no smile, nothing, again. She made no food order we received a full English each ( which I didn’t want) had a continental on the side which was a selection of cereals & a few already poured orange juice drinks which the glasses was mucky so my boyfriend asked for a water in which the woman pulled a funny look to & didn’t even bring out.
Finally when receiving the breakfast I cut into my hash brown & a dead spider was underneath, we both stood straight up & walked out. Went to our rooms, mad & hungry, packed our stuff. Complained & left. The hire manager wasn’t there when we left so unfortunately I couldn’t talk to him. But I have never come across such a bad mannered, impolite person working in customer service in ALL my life.
We really aren’t snobby people and we could have put up with all these mistakes & mishaps, if we had at least felt a little bit welcome. Which never happened.

Shocking avoid

On arrival told we couldn't have the room until 2pm. That's fair enough so we went for a walk and had few pints.
If we hadnt of had a few drinks when we saw the room we would've turned around and walked away but we couldn't drive and Blackpool was full because of the firework competition so we had to grin and bear it it.
The only 2 things that were good was location and free parking
The place is in desperate need of a paint, new carpets, new furniture absolutely everything needs replacing.
The bed was the worse I have ever slept in, the mattresses are probably years old and the double bed sunk in the middle.
Blood stains on pillowcases.
Just really shocking. The bar is very understocked.
So little choice. No card so cash only at the bar but no change in the til !
Just couldn't wait to leave in the morning.
Really would not recommend until a FULL refurbishment has been done

Never ever again

I feel bad writing this because I am not usually a person to complain infact I don’t think I’ve ever written a bad review in my life but I feel people should be warned because it ruined our night away. The full hotel smells of mould both beds in our room were broken we played musical beds all night, there was not 1 pillow case on either pillow there was a splattered spider on the mirror. We booked this hotel for the night and omg I am glad because I wouldn’t of stayed another minute. We paid for breakfast but we could not face it due to fact the night before we went to the bar for a drink and asked for a vodka lemonade and a can of coors light the lady pulled a Tesco’s own bottle out the fridge asked me to taste the lemonade cos she didn’t know how long it had been there the coors light can was rusty lol I was charged £7.80 for flat vodka lemonade and a warm rusty can of coors. We booked 3 rooms in total and not one person slept a wink due the beds being broken, the banging of the doors the cistern on the toilets constantly dripping it’s was an absolute nightmare it ruined our night away my 12 year old son was gutted did not help the weather was horrendous as well. The location is fantastic though I will say that so if you don’t mind dirty scruffy holes but just want somewhere to throw your bags in then this place is ideal but if you do want to get some sleep and some service then stay far far far away from this place.

i think your review a bit harsh as you had plenty of time to speak to me when yuou asked me to phone for a taxi and i came to your room to tell you i had been on hold for 30 minutes.alo
