Ideally placed
Visited with family for one night . Ideal for the Tower. Car parking, Coral Island across the road. Clean room. Comfy beds. Great room for price . Lovely owner nothing too much trouble Didn’t have breakfast. Would visit again.

BED BUG INFESTED avoid at all costs!
Bed bug infested avoid at all costs.
I booked 2 nights via booking.com due to my mum being hospitalised here and a friend had stayed some time ago and said it was basic but ok. I paid £53 for two nights room only.
Check in was fine and room was basic but ok. I was in room 16. I could see the carpets needed a good hover through the hotel I thought as long as I have clean bed and shower I don’t care.
First night I didn’t check in till 7.45pm as I was at hospital and I put my bags in and went out to find food. May have came back about 10.30pm. Up and out early the next day to get some essentials to take to hospital and not back until about 10.30pm again 2nd night as I went for food after the hospital and watched the game.
Beds are uncomfortable but get what you pay for. This morning I’m gathering belongings at 8.55am almost ready to leave the room and notice something crawling on the bed I had just slept in. I took a video to send home to my family to ask what it is and we thought a cockroach. I grabbed my stuff disgusted and went to reception to tell the lady, give her the key, get my deposit and leave. She apologised and said sometimes people from other countries stay and bring bugs with them rude I thought but whatever I need to get out. I looked on Google but uploading the pics and it’s an adult bed bug and keep in mind if that’s the adult it must be infested with them. I feel so sick thinking I’ve slept in that for 2 nights.
I messaged the lady to say this and went straight around the corner to central launderette. I’ve washed everything on 90 wash across 2 machines and put it all in the dryer. I’ve had to bin the 2 pairs of new pjs I had worn whilst staying there, sets of underwear too. I have had to bin a vintage river island jacket because it couldn’t be washed and I don’t want to infest anywhere else of my home when I eventually make it home.
I binned my handbag and my expensive weekender bag because I can’t risk anything being in there either.
It’s cost me £25 in the launderette and the clothing, coat and bags lost is well over £200.
The owner offered to pay half for the launderette bill as a GOOD WILL gesture! I contacted booking.com and the hotel has cancelled the booking I imagine so I can’t leave a review. Booking.com say it’s up to the hotel to agree to the refund but I’m not holding my breath.
By the way the lady insinuated in her messages to me that I could have brought the bug with me from another hotel and it could cost her money now to get the place checked, how dare she. To have an adult bug walking around freely like that they definitely know they have bed bugs ! There was an odd black mark on the bedding here and there but I thought could have been a kid with a pen.
I am attaching pics and a video here if it will upload. I wouldn’t have seen it if I didn’t do a last scan of the room before I left and would have been covered in eggs or whatever and spread them everywhere. I’m totally disgusted and was in tears over this and I’m terrified incase there is anything in the car from the clothes I still had to wear to the launderette. They have also been binned now.
Please pay a bit more and stay in a reputable hotel as this is a health concern.
I don’t wish to ruin this persons business she was a nice lady but I don’t want anybody else to suffer this as your own homes will end up infested from taking the bugs home on your items.

Charges double and does not return the money. Read google reviews. Not the first time this has happened. They will steal your money. Hotel is disgusting is dirty.

Good price poor service
black pool loved it but the b&b was a let down dirty dusty rooms the safe on floor next to bed where u could fall and bang head shower didnt work properly the taps was the same the floor looked like u was going to fall through it tv was to small no chair or hairdryer the light switch wasn't near the bed the landing of the rooms was dusty I rubbed my finger and found dust cobwebs tv full of dust the bed could been a bit bigger mattress and the windows you couldn't see out of them also the reception was only open from 2 till 8. And luckily we didn't book for breakfast, they only serve from 8 till 8.45 sorry but its not worth a 5 star

Sanji is an amazing host. Very welcoming and helpful
My room was small but clean. I was anxious staying alone but it was quiet, nice and warm. I didn’t like the film over the window but all in all great location for the price .
