Don't think, just book
We stayed for 1 night for our anniversary and I genuinely wish we could live there. The location throws you off as you drive toward it but it is so quiet and tranquil and you don't feel as though there is a whole world outside of those gates. The attention to detail is really mind blowing because of the creativity in the placement and the more you look the more you see, you really have to pay attention to everything to appreciate that some things might not be what they seem!
I think you can make this stay what you want it, there is enough around the area to make it jam packed with adventure or become a haven of peace and tranquility. The sound of the birds in the trees, the wind and just nature in general are so soothing on the soul and refreshing. It has wildlife in abundance and is treasure trove for butterflies and bees.
The cabin itself is clean, comfortable and has everything you need and as beautiful as it is on its own, you probably won't stay in there much. The shower is one of the best we've used and the toilet is clean and it's nice that it's seperate. The hot tub was what actually sold me on this stay as we only live 20 minutes away, but it heats up quickly and holds the heat for hours. Incredible value for the money and we will absolutely be back to experience this place in the winter. I hope the owners are incredibly proud of what they've built because it is an experience not just a stay.

Absolutely fabulous! A magical quirky place and we couldn't fault it whatsoever. We will definitely be returning as we have found our little piece of heaven

Just bliss
A perfect getaway , it was pure bliss to unwind in this perfect place , everything was amazing, so clean & so much thought got into it , as a daughter of a miner I loved seeing all the memorabilia. We will definitely return , we loved every minute.

Fantasticly Quirky little Miners log cabin
Fantastic little cabin in the woods. It has a veranda you can sit on and drink wine in the evening while gazing at the beautiful scenery, it also has separate (from the cabin) toilet and shower rooms which are very nice and an outdoor Jacuzzi/hot tub and firepit. The woods are full of quirky things to see and plenty of places to sit and relax. Not the easiest place to find as it hides away from everything. Easiest way to find it is from the what3words address ///snaps.incisions.amplified or googles map locater QR7P+VG6 Abertillery , those addresses will take you to its entrance, a big green gate in a hedge row. Definitely worth a visit!

Our relaxing stay at the Miners Cabin in Blaina.
This was simply magical.
There's a driveway from the locked entrance gate to a gravel area where you can can park up. A little walk to get to the cabin. There's also a stepped path to the left.
Everything was so clean and tidy and that wasn't just the Cabin itself but the toilet and shower facilities and the grounds over the acre site.
The fire pit area was very well equiped with a BBQ and utensils plus cushions on the seating bench as well as a blanket to keep you warm on colder evening. Chopped wood is available at a minimal charge. There are solar lights around the area so if you need to move around, the lights will show you the way.
The cabin itself is very well built, with everything you'll need for a short stay. There's no current hot water but that's planned. The bed is comfy and the double glazing and electric heater keeps it warm too.
The veranda has 2 relaxing chairs which is lovely to sit and chat.
The toilet and shower block is behind the cabin. These are well equipped and the shower is lovely.
There has been so much thought put in as well as alot of attention to detail throughout the entire site with old miner's equipment. There are also a few staged animals around the grounds as well as a dinosaur skull. We heard alot of birds plus saw a number of squirrels on our stay. Other guests have said they've seen a fox.
A old rusting car is on the site which is down a path from the cabin whick looks like it's been there for some time.
There's alot of woodland with a clearing towards the top where I found a bench to sit and chill.
A lovely relaxing place to stay where you could be anywhere and I would deffinately re book again.
