Nice hotel and friendly staff

Very nice peaceful hotel we spend one week and was very nice . Close to the beach and shops

Save your money and book a tent.

On arrival drove into a very uneven carpark that looked like a builders yard. We walked to the entrance to the sight of a man in his slippers on the step drinking tea (we think). Managed to get our room after the receptionist eventually found the booking. We dropped off our bag and went out for food and rugby.
On returning to a cold, unmanned reception to fing the bar shut and no one around. Went to the room and then looked around, it's cold, untidy, no brew kit in the room despite advertising it. The smoke detector in the roof was covered over so smoking could be done in the room and mold everywhere.
However, the bedding was clean and receptionist was nice (when we saw her). Breakfast was a joke, didn't have a shower as the shower tray was filthy and left after one night.
I know it's supposedly 2* but a bit of elbow grease and paint would help.

This review is for Room 2.
This was like an experience out of "Faulty Towers!" The bed was of steel frame and constantly groaned/creaked every time you moved or sat down. The duvet cover was stained. The wall paper was coming off the wall through damp conditions.
The shower room contained "3" air purifiers because the shower extractor fan did not work,and the smell of the drains was a serious issue. There was no plug in the sink so had to leave water running for shaving.
There was no bedside lamp so you had to use the light of the TV to get into bed and if you woke up in night to use toilet you had either to use the light on your mobile phone or turn on tv for light. There also was "NO" tea/coffee making facilities in our room but there was a lounge in main hotel.
There was no glass or plastic cup for cleaning teeth.
Yes it was only a 2* hotel but I feel is was beyond unacceptable, it was very memorable for all the wrong reasons!!!
Parking was an issue but was already prepared for that from the hotel web site as double parking was a necessity to accommodate everyone staying and there was a fee!

Hotel was clean, cheap amd cheerful. Could do with a freshen up. 10 minute walk from beach and town centre.

Stayed there with my granddaughter to go to a show . Glad was only one night. No tea or coffee in room had to go downstairs for it. Sheets were old all bobbly. Didn't get to sleep till gone 1am as people next door talking loud. Breakfast in morning like a cattle market no where to sit. Took ares to room . Possible DSS hostel??. Only use last resort
