Great place to stay for night
Lovely hotel in great location. Beautiful little town very relaxing. Lovely breakfast and clean rooms.

Horrendous stay
In all of my years of travelling world wide this was the worst stay of my life - the room was disgustingly dirty , rediculous fire escape green light on in my room constantly , toilet and shower horrendous and staff with zero care in the world - avoid at all possible cost !

Poor
This hotel really could do better. We stayed on 5th July and the price was extortionate- whilst I appreciate the Formula One was on down the road, to charge £380 for one night for one room at this hotel is really taking advantage. We had one bath towel for two of us, none of the curtains, either in the bedroom or the bathroom closed fully leaving us exposed, and the only plug socket available to make a cup of tea was on the floor so not safe at all. Such a shame as this is a lovely little town and had the hotel been better we would have returned.

Great Location, Fundamentally Poor Operation
I delayed writing this review because I hoped to speak directly with the hotel’s owners to discuss a possible refund, following one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced. Unfortunately, despite repeated attempts, it proved impossible to establish who actually owns or manages the property.
Although the hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Brackley, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality, and I am genuinely surprised that it is still operating two months after our visit.
To list every failing would read like an episode of Fawlty Towers, but the central issue was the complete lack of effective communication. The staff were clearly keen to help, but had very limited English and appeared not to have been given even basic training. This was as frustrating for them as it was for us, and was one of the main reasons I wanted to speak directly to the owners — the situation felt deeply unfair on the young men working there.
Some specific issues included:
• Parking arrangements were not explained, resulting in us parking (unknowingly) in spaces reserved for local businesses rather than hotel guests.
• Rooms were not properly cleaned.
• All windows were wide open on arrival and the heating was switched off, despite it being February.
• Only one towel was provided per bed, which is clearly inadequate when two people are sharing.
• Breakfast was chaotic. It was impossible to communicate what we wanted, and plates of fried sausages, bacon, mushrooms, bread and eggs kept arriving — even for the vegetarians in our group — leading to a great deal of wasted food.
All bookings were handled through an automated system that does not allow any direct communication with the hotel, which explains the complete lack of response when I attempted to discuss our stay. We were also asked to pay in full before even seeing the rooms.
This place should be a gem, but instead appears to be run remotely with the minimum possible investment and oversight. I hope the owners read this and engage with it, but based on our experience I have my doubts. In the meantime, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you have any alternative.

We won't be returning any time soon.
Great location for Brackley Town. Not much of an atmosphere but the guy who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was awful, it was very dated, a bit grubby and the bathroom had paint peeling off the ceiling. Bed was uncomfortable and we had the creaking hotel sign outside our room window. We got a couple of hours sleep due to the noise in the hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel, got up and left early.
