Relaxing spa trip
Another fabulous trip with friends,stayed for 3 nights,facilities great and treatments wonderful and relaxing,food tasty and never disappointed with choice,room comfortable needs a little freshening up deco wise,other parts have had revamp and look great.big shout out to a few staff
Rizano a very friendly,helpful hard working member of the team.always has a smile on his face.
Charley friendly waiter had an awkward customer which we witnessed he handled very professionally and calmly.

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing break with beautiful surroundings, excellent food and service — just what we needed to
My mother and I had the most perfect two-night break. I've been visiting Forest Mere for several years, and it never disappoints. There was some confusion with the bedroom request I had pre-arranged, but Olivia kindly upgraded us to a Garden Suite, which made our stay extra special.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The weather was beautiful, and we loved an early morning swim in the outdoor pool. Enjoyed a peaceful bike ride and walk around the lakeside through the cool, shaded trees. Watching the geese ducks and all the wildlife. The food and service were outstanding throughout.
Thank you, Champneys, for another wonderful stay. We left feeling completely refreshed and already look forward to our next visit.

Summer bliss
I had the pleasure of visiting this magical wellness retreat nestled in the beautiful English countryside in early July for a spa day.
I started the morning with a refreshing yoga class. The instructor, Evelyn, put her whole heart and soul into the session, bringing smiles to everyone's faces with her heartfelt, yet humorous and encouraging words of motivation.
Afterwards, I enjoyed a wonderful gua sha facial massage, which left my skin glowing. This was thanks to both the professional massage techniques used by the therapist and the high-quality skincare products applied during the treatment.
Then I spent some time browsing the hotel's shop, where choosing what to buy proved difficult because I would happily have put almost everything into my basket. The shelves were filled with so many beautiful products and nice cosmetics.
We also enjoyed a delicious, exceptionally healthy and nourishing lunch in the hotel's restaurant. The selection was abundant, visually stunning, and incredibly fresh.
Later, my dear friend and I relaxed by the pool, sipping refreshing cold drinks. We then sat by the lakeside and surrendered ourselves with the endless peace and tranquillity of this special place.
It was a perfect day from start to finish.

Set in beautiful surroundings but a basic spa experience, not worth the money
I should have read reviews before going but decided I didn’t need to as Champneys is considered to be up there when it comes to Spa breaks. I couldn’t be more disappointed. It’s definitely not worth the money and there’s definitely better spas out there. What’s even more disappointing is that others have expressed a similar experience going back a few months and the changes haven’t been made by management so I’m not holding my breath to receive a personalised response and likely to receive same generic response I’ve seen.
The location is beautiful and spa is basic.
When we checked in, the lady was pleasant but didn’t give us a lot of information. She pointed us towards the spa but we didn’t know where to get the locker wristband or towels. Had to work that out ourselves.
The spa area is okay but couldn’t use all facilities as some were out of order. The locker and changing areas were outdated and there wasn’t any complementary products to use other than in the toilets. Some lockers didn’t have doors to them.
The spa treatment room was dated and not pleasant, although it was hot outside inside the room the AC was blowing cold air and that’s the last thing you want whilst having a massage. However the therapist was lovely and gave a nice massage.
Lunch was basic and lacked flavour .
Dinner took over two hours and that was because we had to wait in between meals. Lack of staff meant it was difficult to get anyone’s attention. When dessert arrived it was meant to be served with whipped mascarpone but it ended being a melted puddle on my plate. The response from the waitress was that ‘unfortunately the kitchen is really hot and it was left out for a while before it was served’! Although they offered to get it made again, I really didn’t want to wait another half hour for it.
The room was sold as standard, it looked run down with no AC but a little window. The bathroom sink kept getting blocked, it didn’t give a luxury spa hotel feel.
Our cups were dirty so that put me off. I went to get a coffee from the cafe and was ignored by the member of staff and had to wait 15 mins to be served.
Unfortunately I won’t be coming back here again in a hurry.

1. Broken windows in our room.
2. Two single mattresses pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap in the middle which made it very difficult to sleep.
3. A dirty and stained sofa in the room.
4. Constant banging and noise from the room above throughout the night, resulting in little to no sleep.
5. The inability to order a traditional English breakfast, as only chicken sausages and turkey bacon were available this hotel done not do a full English
6. Insufficient milk provided in the room, meaning we could not even make a full cup of coffee.
7. An additional charge for steak on the advertised three-course meal. And you can not buy separate meals
8. Overall, the hotel was significantly overpriced for the quality and service received.
Taken together, these issues seriously affected our enjoyment of the stay and fell well below what would reasonably be expected from a hotel charging these rates.

Please note that guests have free access to the leisure facilities, including the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and Gym, and can book and pay for classes, from 17:00 until 10:00. Use of the facilities outside of these hours will be subject to an extra charge of GBP £70.00 per person, per day. The package quoted is a nightly Bed & Breakfast rate, with an arrival time of 5pm. It does not include access to the resort, spa or facilities before the 5pm arrival time and after the 10am check out. If booking consecutive nights, guests are required to leave the site between these times. Guests are invited to stay on site daily between the hours of 10am and 5pm where a £70 per person per day facility charge is payable at reception on arrival. This charge does include lunch.
