Nice and comfortable room

The rooms are really nice and comfortable. The price was reasonable. The staff excellent. Traffic noise bearable.

All rooms face the A38 and there's no secondary glazing, so not a lot of sleep to be had here, otherwise it's fine.

1 night stay

We booked a one night stay, just because we fancied a night away near the sea. (Living in the Midlands this is probably the closest sea side town to us). The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good amenities. Unfortunately this was one of the hottest days of the year and the air con in our room wasnt working, or so we were told. (there wasnt even a remote control that we could try it). Staff had provided us with a fan but it wasnt as good as air con would have been.

We had 2 rooms booked, one on the ground floor and one upstairs - family room.
Unfortunately the double mattress in the upstairs room was really uncomfortable, we had to lie on a spare duvet to make it better. Maybe that there are refurbishments being carried out as the ground floor room mattress was a much better quality.
Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff were super helpful.

Stayed at the Fox and Goose for 5 days. Looked after by the staff at all times. Very comfortable room which was serviced daily. The food was excellent with good sized meals which were served by very pleasant staff. Will definitely stay there again.
