I got covered in bed bugs bites from this hotel
I got bed bugs from staying here
Checking in was straightforward. The location was excellent, so close to the beach front. They supplied tea, coffee and even ear plugs in the room (necessary but thoughtful).
The room was very simple and plain which is fine for a short stay. Initially it looked fairly clean and smelt ok.
Unfortunately I got bet bugs from this hotel. The hotel refunded me afterwards but I spent over a week dealing with 26 large, itchy and unsightly welts over my body, face and neck. The photos are only of a few. It was an awful awful experience that took several weeks to heal.
The sheets and towels looked relatively clean but there were stains on the duvet cover. The mattress when inspected was very dirty, dingy and there was an old piece of foam on top I guess to make it more bearable (it didn't really help). The mattress was clearly very thin and old. It wasn't a comfortable night sleep at all because of the thin mattress and because I spent all night worrying about the cleanliness of what I was sleeping on (as it happens, I was right to worry and I guess being bitten all night didn't help).
There was a shared bathroom which is fine but the wash room had no toilet paper in either toilets in the morning. The only toilet with toilet paper was engaged from when I woke up to when I needed to leave so I wasnt even able to use the toilet and shower before I left.
They also said the £50 was a holding deposit and wouldn't be taken from my account but it absolutely was and was then refunded 24 hours after I had checked out. I doubt there's even £50 worth of damage that could be done in that room tbh.
I told the hotel about the bed bugs and they refunded me but they did not use a professional company to inspect or remove. I later saw another review on here about bed bugs and when I queried which room and what had been done they wouldn't tell me and shut down communication.
Please do not stay here.

Useful hotel for a one night stay, good location near the sea and easy walk to the city, There are no staff so its all remote, seems reasonably secure. Bed was reasonably comfy but very narrow, was a bit like being on an ironing board, don't roll over!!! The room had a bit of a strange aroma when I first went in, but I figured out that the window did open (although it was not immediately obvious how to keep it open) and the room was fresh as a daisy after that!

Booked two rooms at Number 75 - worked very well for a 1-night stay in central location close to Brighton Centre. Rooms clean and well-equipped with fans for the hot weather. Nice to find tea/coffee facilities too.
Communication was great, with all the information needed to access the rooms provided in good time.
Had not realised Room 1 was on top floor up several flights of stairs - which was difficult for my older guests - but as it was just one night, this was manageable.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
Hotel is dirty and damp. The shared toilet and shower was a disgrace, no toilet paper and unclean. our bedsheets were stained and we also found bed bugs after being bitten.
