Iconic and independently owned we are a 4 Star Hotel & Spa in the heart of the beautiful New Forest National Park. We pride ourselves on offering great service in a relaxed atmosphere. Room allocations all inclusive of a full English breakfast.

Instantly relaxing experience
The staff are all friendly, attentive and nothing is too much for them. The facilities and grounds of the Balmer Lawn is really top class. We added the spa to our stay and were not disappointed. The pool area was really relaxing and the bar was close enough to walk or they had a delivery service.
The food is equally a high level. The scallops starter was the best we ever had (we almost ordered another)
It was a real treat and we can’t wait to do it again. Thanks to all the team.

Wonderful Anniversary Break, Couldn’t Fault a Thing
The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming at check-in and made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay. The bar staff were also very accommodating and ensured we were well looked after throughout the evening.
The restaurant staff were polite, attentive, and the food was excellent. We also really enjoyed the spa facilities, particularly the ice-cool room which was a great experience.
Overall, everything about our stay was excellent and we couldn’t fault a thing. We would happily return and highly recommend it. 10/10.

The new spa facilities are a great addition and the thermal contrast use of the ice room, steam and Sauna with their proven health benefits as promoted by Wim Hof and the like!

Short summer breeak
Dinner vey good, breakfast extensive choice, great coffee, hot buffet variable but kept topped up.
Outdoor pool area was lovely and not too busy.
Booked a 2 day stay and was unable to extend this prior to arrival even though deals seemed to be available online.
