Friendly staff

Good value short stay. The curry was really good and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Not great or child friendly

Charged for dog I had already paid for in price with booking. Com
No kids menu choice just nuggets only ( pale cheap reformed ) £10 !!!
Breakfast cheap ingredients and instant coffee . Go somewhere else !

Dog friendly but really disappointing otherwise

Not the warmest of hosts, didn’t feel like sitting down in the bar, it was cold and fairly unwelcoming. That would have been ok but the breakfast was bad, cheap toast instant coffee and not welcoming.
Re the accommodation, it was dog friendly which is great and beds were clean although mattresses fairly old. But the rooms were tired and not clean….. dead mosquito squashed on the wall, sons room had no working radiator just a small blow heater and nothing was mentioned at check in, there were other rooms free we could have been offered. By the time we realised it was too late to say anything.
The fans/ air vents were full of dirt and dust, shower rails rusty, one window was cracked and the handle missing. There was a broken cracked tile in the bathroom, the carpet had some stains. It felt cold and it just wasn’t a nice place to stay. There were 2 old large extractors below the rooms that were noisy too
The village is pretty and quiet and it’s a handy location and fairly affordable that’s the only positive I can give

Terrible booking service and unfriendly on the phone...

I booked this hotel and 4 days prior to my visit I canceled due to an illness. Even though I had documentation the hotel would not consider a refund. They had plenty of time to give the room to another person but still would not reconsider. I asked twice via email and once on the phone. They did not even answer my first email!

Overnight stay for attending Blenheim palace

We stayed here whilst attending a concert at bleniham palace.
Great location, good service, friendly and helpful staff.
Good food, they even prepared food early so we could eat before leaving for the concert.
Customer parking which was good.
Bathroom was small, but functional, shower was poweful and warm.
We had a fan provided as the weather was so warm.
Plenty of storage space, and plugs by the bed.
We would definitely stay here again if we needed to
