Ova klasična viktorijanska zgrada nudi klasične spavaće sobe pored dvorca Cardiff i 150 metara od stadiona Principality. Ima elegantan restoran i bar. Mnoge sobe u hotelu Angel imaju pogled na povijesni dvorac Cardiff. i to je tereni.

Like a comfy pair of shoes, with the best restaurant....

This is such an historic hotel, right in the middle of Cardiff, yes you can go to a Premier Inn or a Travelodge or Holiday Express, but you won't get the warmth of grandure dating back many years. Yes, unlike the others mentioned it's not had a big refurb or a rebranding, but for me that is what keeps drawing me back, along with the modest prices they still charge when the others have hit some dizzy heights. The rooms and restaurants are all very clean and grand and since my last visit several years ago the dinning experience has definitely upped its game, the quality it's outstanding and although the portions were small the food was both rich and filling. I really don't think the pictures I took did the food justice. A very memorable experience and would love to repeat again next year....

An enjoyable short stay at a beautiful hotel full of history.

We had a one night booking for a standard double room, on arrival we were informed that we had been kindly upgraded to a suite, which was such a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. The entrance and staircase with it's chandeliers was so beautiful. The suite we were given was extremely spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a great size, enjoyed a soak in the bath, the hot water was the perfect temperature. We explored the reception rooms, the lounge was comfortable to sit as was the bar area. The bed was extremely comfortable, the WiFi excellent, and buffet breakfast the following morning was thoroughly enjoyed. A few items were running low in the buffet and were immediately topped up by staff. Good choice of continental and cooked breakfast, though would have loved a scrambled egg option instead of fried egg, but that's just personal preference. The stand out of our stay for us, was the staff. From reception, bar, restaurant, to housekeeping, everyone was friendly, welcoming, always smiling and very professional, they really added a feel good factor to our stay. The hotel has many redeeming features, you could feel the history there and that the walls have stories to tell. We live locally but have wanted to stay at the Angel, for my husband it was for the connection to The Beatles who stayed there in 1963, and for me, it's a hotel we have walked past many times over the years and I really wanted to see inside this beautiful old building. We had read a few reviews saying that the hotel was tired and needs updating, but we wanted to experience a stay there and see for ourselves and we are so glad that we did. We really enjoyed our short stay at The Angel Hotel, and couldn't have asked for anything more. 10/10.

Staff as always polite, helpful and welcoming…
The room itself could do with some updating, the toilet bowl could maybe do with some bleach and unfortunately couldn’t use shower as it was over the bath which I struggle with..
but it hasn’t stopped me staying and enjoying time out of everyday life!

Check in and out was easy
Room was clean had everything you need for a nights stay
Hotel is old but has character could you use paint in hallways and corridors
but overall would stay again

Good check in with the hotel . Quick and easy. Asking for a near room to the reception. I have MS . Given the second room along the corridor. With castle view.clean room everything I needed double bed . I’m always happy when I stay at the hotel
