Warm welcome and great stay

We arrived early so couldn’t check in but was so handy leaving the car in the car park.
First come first served but there is a paid car park opposite (free in the evenings).
Rooms were spotless which makes a great impression and fresh milk in the fridge for tea/coffee was a great touch. Bed was really comfy too, room was warm but were in a heatwave so expected anywhere and there was a fan provided.
The gardens were beautiful! I just loved looking at them everytime we passed them or looked out the window, so colourful and the pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was fresh, not greasy at all and whilst not a huge variety was everything you’d need.
The owners are so friendly, recommended places to visit but a you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Perfect location too right near everything in Cheddar.

Great and nicely planted garden with terraces and swimming pool. Good parking. Nice standard room and good shower. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. The hotel is right in the centre and good pub (Riverside Inn) right next to the hotel. Nice host.

great 2 nights stay

fantastic b&B, lovely family run, swimming area beautiful , super cooked breakfast, wouldnt hesitate going back, Cheddar was great and the food in the italian was really nice .

A lovely small and friendly hotel

Gordons is a fabulous small B&B hotel. Rory and his family make you completely welcome. Nothing would be too much trouble. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Breakfast excellent (although some fresh fruit would have been welcome.) Swimming pool, surrounded by beautiful tubs of flowers, very welcome during heatwave! Location brilliant for Cheddar Gorge. Being so central there was a bit of traffic noise but we were there over a weekend in August so it’s likely to be quieter at other times! We would highly recommend this hotel.

Wish we could have stayed longer

We only stayed one night which was a shame! We received a friendly welcome, and advice was given on good places to eat and the best time to visit the caves (after 3.30 they are half price). Our room was clean and well appointed, a tower fan was provided and much appreciated! Once unpacked we went down to the pool, how lovely to sit next to the pool with a drink and then cool off with a dip. It is set in a beautiful garden. The pool opens at 9am so I swam again after breakfast before checking out. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Will definitely be back.
