Ova preuređena seoska kuća, udaljena 5 km od centra Chichestera, ima elegantan bar, restoran s 2 AA rozete i pogled na zelena polja. Povijesna motociklistička staza Goodwood udaljena je samo 15 minuta vožnje od hotela Crouchers Country.

Fabulous hotel in a lovely location .
A wonderful three night stay at Crouchers Orchard .( June 12-14th) Our first visit to this hotel and West Sussex.
The hotel had an upmarket feel, nicely decorated and furnished with friendly professional staff and the service and accommodation were fabulous .
We loved staying in Barn one , particularly as it had chairs outside looking over the garden on the sunny days we were lucky to have .
A good choice at Breakfast and the hot food was freshly cooked .
Our two meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious particularly Sunday lunch , as was the Pizza at the Cider house kitchen .
Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Very disappointing, cannot recommend and would never return.
This hotel did not come up to expectations or website promise and our stay was a disappointment, overall. We booked a Russet Garden room and it did not resemble the light and airy image potrayed on the website. There were some positives and I'll start with them. The staff were polite, friendly and generally helpful. Breakfast was good, with only a few issues: they ran out of orange juice on the second day and, no, there was no more avaliable that day. Pastries ran out early on the third day but they warmed up three pains just for me. The vegetarian/vegan breakfast was variable from day to day and did not conform to the menu description, for example, there were two sausages on day one, one on day two and none on day three. Always a large pile of wilted spinach though The Cider House Kitchen, on site but a rather rough walk away from the main buildings (don't wear heels) served very nice pizzas, but very slowly. Fortunately there is an excellent Indian restaurant just across the road from the hotel and unconnected to it. The setting of the hotel is pleasant, apart from the fact that it's right next to a very busy road and there is serious traffic noise. And that's the end of the positives.
Moving on to what we didn't like, let's start with the room. There was insufficient shelf and hanging space in the bathroom. Sticking with the bathroom, there was a non-functioning whirlpool bath which must be horribly unhygienic and the bath was also very marked and appeared dirty though probably wasn't. There was no toilet brush.
In the bedroom, one of two wall hooks was broken. The sockets are extraordinarily inconveniently positioned and you can't plug a device in to charge anywhere near the bed. In order to plug in heated hair devices, straighteners etc, you have to grovel around under what passes for a dressing table and unplug either the lamp or the fridge. There is nothing to protect the wooden surface from heated devices. One bedside cabinet was jammed sideways between the bed and the wardrobe so that the drawers could not be accessed. Bedside lighting was inadequate. The bed maker needs urgent lessons because the bed was never made properly, with at least 12" of empty duvet cover at the top and a bottom sheet that was never tucked in tight, always wrinkled and creased. This is the age of the fitted sheet and you might want to give thought to this. The Nespresso machine leaked. The bathroom door squeaked and creaked, making it impossible to avoid causing a disturbance on a middle of the night visit.
Moving on to food, which I have already covered in part. The Potager restaurant, which we saved for the last night and my birthday, was so poor. I'm vegetarian and, apart from soup, there was one starter only. Apart from salad, there was one main course. I thought I'd teleported back to the 1980s. When I enquired which of the desserts might be vegetarian, because there was no indication of this on the menu, I was told none of them have meat in them. True story. I mentioned gelatin and animal rennet and the waitress then agreed to talk to the kitchen. My husband, who is not vegetarian, reported that the rest of the menu was dull and uninspired and could also have come from the 1980s. And this meal was NOT cheap. We should have gone back to the Indian.
All in all, what should have been a special surprise was anything but and we don’t recommend this hotel and would never go back.

Disappointing
Our 3rd visit, but oh dear ,how this hotel has dropped its standards.Lack of attention to detail from housekeeping, ie no cups in some rooms, fridge not working, toiletries already half empty, no dressing gown, hairs on bathroom floor suggesting slap dash cleaning. Very slow service.45 mins to get a sandwich , 20 mins to get a drink.Our cooked breakfast was appalling , burnt French toast, burnt scrambled egg on toast & a fried egg that resembled rubber.Even when it was returned to the kitchen another egg appeared in the same rock hard state .Breakfast buffet pretty uninspiring & not topped up. Our breakfast took 45 mins to come out , in which time there were no pastries left or berry compote. So bad was all of the above that we requested a meeting with the manager to give her chance to put some of this right as we didn’t want to write a damaging review.
Sadly even though she was the Co- owner she only paid lip service to our issues & offered to refund just 1 breakfast each.We were not compensated for our blighted experience as she wouldn’t budge.We received a paltry £18 each which was an insult! Avoid Crouchers , its full of new staff who are incompetent & a manager who doesn’t care about the customer experience.
Sadly even though she was the Co- owner she only paid lip service to our issues & offered to refund just 1 breakfast each.We were not compensated for our blighted experience as she wouldn’t budge.We received a paltry £18 each which was an insult! Dog friendly, good location.
We enjoyed a garden room, we opened the French Doors to a private patio leading to a large grassed area perfect for our Labrador.
Dogs aren’t allowed in the main restaurant but we were comfortable eating at a table set for us in the bar.
To catch the afternoon sun we needed to sit on the bar patio which is noisy as it’s next to the road but screened.
The restaurant menu is short but the food freshly cooked & delicious.
A mini fridge in the room would be a good addition.
Although there is a charge for taking a dog nothing is supplied so you need to take bed/bowls & most important…treats!
Large bathroom with a good supply of fluffy towels.
WiFi not good & 5G a little erratic.

A broken promise
A broken promise....
The hotel presents itself as an establishment combining relaxation, comfort and luxury in a contemporary and elegant setting. In practice, unfortunately, this is another story.
While the staff is pleasant and attentive – and this is a positive point to stress – the stay is quickly ruined by noise nuisances that are hardly compatible with the very idea of relaxation. Some rooms are directly exposed to road noise, with a well-audible stream of vehicles. Worse, at least one bedroom is located above the dining room: the ambient bass crosses the floor and invites itself into the night, making it difficult to rest.
We are far from the peaceful stay promised. For an establishment that claims comfort and relaxation, soundproofing should be a priority — obviously it has not been treated as such.
