Lovely site, unfortunately visited in a heat wave. Hotel has no air con and didn’t appear to have fans. Worth bringing one with you!

STAY AWAY

Stayed here in December and had an awful experience, and awful subsequent experience with their customer service team who refused to help at all. Unhelpful, rude staff, filthy bedding covered in hairs and stains, and disgustingly unclean and unhygienic rooms. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff were exceptional. We arrived very early on the motorbike and they found us somewhere to leave our bike gear for the day. The changing rooms were very lovely. The staff directed us to local taxi firms, avoiding us that the walk to our destination was unsafe. We didn't have much luck booking for our way out to puzzlewood but a member of staff offered to take us on their way through. Definitely recommend sorting taxis ahead of time.
Had dinner in the restaurant and it was exceptional, the quality of the steaks were very good. Service again was amazing and we sat on the terrace watching game of bowls. What a relaxing stay and would definitely stay again. Can't recommend enough.

Be prepared for slow play!

We played this course as a couple and had a 12:30 midweek tee time thinking it would be a good pace of play. Unfortunately there was a 24 person competition before us and some very slow play! 5.5 hours for a round of golf isn’t fun just far too long! The course was in ok condition considering how hot it has been however some of the greens needed some TLC. Interesting course with some nice views but just a slow slow round!

Very tired old building on accomodation side. Rooms very worn, carpets old and not very clean.
