Amazing trip, excellent host
I booked this as a getaway with my girlfriend for valentines, Vicky was so accommodating with putting up valentines decorations for a surprise for my girlfriend. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, ready to help with any queries via text. We also were upgraded rooms with no extra cost which was amazing! Can’t thank Vicky enough! Would definitely stay again.

Strange place
Apartment was Lovley . The building it’s self let it down , the apartments are above a motorbike shop and there is a derelict mansion next to the apartments. Also very eerie at night as there is no outside lighting and we was the only ones in the building . Very odd and strange place

A hidden gem!
I booked this accommodation on booking.com for me and 2 friends who were travelling to the area for the MacMillan Mighty Hike, 26 mile walk. On first arrival…what a view! The scenery was stunning! There is, as mentioned in previous posts, a half built country house, when finished will be stunning! The apartments look like they were possibly part of an office block at some point in the past. The apartment we stayed in was beautiful, towels and bedding of a very high standard and exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend, it was the most peaceful nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. The local pub, The Clickham Inn, 2 minutes walk away served the most delicious food. I will return at some point in the future.

Ideal location, lovely apartment
Really lovely apartment, ideally located in a quiet, rural location just outside Penrith. It was a perfect base for our family to visit Lowther Castle and Ullswater. The pub down the road, The Clickham Inn, is exceptionally good.
Communication from the owners was great and arrival was smooth.
Driving in, you're met with large automatic gates - we found that the key fob for these was temperamental and always took a few tries to get the gate to open. The apartments are above a motorcycle business, and next to a large building which is being renovated, however we didn't see anyone else there the whole weekend and neither of these impacted on our stay at all - I would suggest ignoring previous over-dramatic reviewers, as it wasn't 'odd' or 'uncomfortable' in the slightest.
We stayed in Blancathra View which was impeccably clean, well decorated and comfortable. It has large wrap-around windows displaying a fantastic view. It was plenty large enough for our family of 4, well equipped and the bed was particularly comfortable.
We really rated this apartment and would definitely return.

Family Retreat 2 night stay on the 2nd and 3rd august 2022
Lovely area and wonderful place unfortunately The family are building a modern stately home at the side of the studios which is only half completed.
There have been deforestation of Christmas trees and unfortunately on our stay a 360 excavator and large root bonfires smoked the landscape with rolling bare acres of red soil.There was a nice chap washing the drive with a diesel industrial power wash for the full duration of our stay and 9am until 6pm the noise of a 360 digger.Not my idea of a retreat.
We had suffered a bereavement and wanted some peace and quiet.
We confronted the nice owner by accident in front of the private motorbike reception area,owner nicely replied oh he will be finished at 6 o’clock each day! We were told to email Vicky the manager who never replied to us properly but kept promised to do so.
When the works are finished it will make a nice place over a private collection of motorbikes one the front is painted and pavings steam cleaned and garden tidied up,
The studios and areas inside are clean and lovely 9/10.
It’s just a shame of the noise smoke and building works, perhaps these can be carried out when guests are not staying or at least let them know or reduce the rates to reflect this.
We were very disappointed for the money paid and not informed of such works prior to arrival. We did ask for a partial refund to cover 4hrs each day the noise smoke etc disrupted our stay, rest of time we were sight seeing or asleep, but no response.
We hope this helps other families here as to the building works and very spoiled views at peak season until rectified.
