Sleeping in a Cuboard
The room is ideal for a young single person or young couple who stay out clubbing all night as its just a box room with no window and standing space for 1 only the shower and toilet is small but usable, there is a bright green light on all night that i had to cover with my pants !! but for a couple reaching 60 yrs old it was a nightmare ruined our break that we was so looking forward too after working hard in our jobs , thank god for a Popeyes restraunt next door where you can sit down on a chair have a coffee and look out the window ! There is no lifts to the rooms neither so again better suited to the young and fit and able bodied , only compliment is it was fairly clean

You know what you're getting with easyHotel. It's really difficult to exist in those rooms with luggage and two people, we were constantly climbing over each other and having to move things, and we definitely damaged some of our stuff in the process. We had a room with a window, and I don't know if we could take it without that! It's right on Princes Street but it's not loud at night, surprisingly. It's veeeery close and convenient to any of the tourist stuff so it's great if that's what you're there for. I don't think we would stay again, but that's only because we don't really like the tourist stuff or the tiny room. But if you know what you're getting into, go for it. The property is very cleaned and well-maintained.

The room was clean and tidy, fairly small space. There was no air-conditioning in our room.
Shops were easy accessible....
The people staying in the adjacent rooms were extremely noisy and had no consideration for people next to them

The room was smaller than my toilet at home. I couldn't fit on bed because I'm 190 cm tall. Other rooms noices came through the wall. Marketing is very misleading (the photos of the rooms).

The hotel is a budget hotel and it shows in some areas but a solid 2.5/5. Edinburgh comes with a price, but I feel the price doesn't reflect the hotel
The location is excellent and the views reflect that. We got a standard double room on the 3rd floor with picturesque view of Edinburgh castle.
The staff were polite every time we spoke to them and they have irons, boards and hair dryers at reception.
We took the opportunity to have our bags stored at the hotel before checking in at a cost of £2.50 each bag however worth noting they are left outside the reception in a hallway, but im sure they are monitored.
The first night we have no hot water for the shower, and when we asked reception we got told to give it time, it will warm up. It never got hot. Cold showers for us.
On the 2nd night one of us got a hot shower, and the other one didnt. Be aware the steam from showers sets the smoke alarm off...someone else's shower set the fire alarm off around 7:30am.
The the rooms are extremely small and dusty. The mattress was too hard for us...but every one has their own preference.
It can be very noisy. You can hear people in the corridors all the time. We didnt sleep much between the noise and the mattress.
The room has no air con but they provide a fan but the temp changes a lot.
Does the hotel serve a purpose, yes but just not for us.
