Lochend serviced apartments

Clean, comfy, great service. Will definitely be back again. The rooms were a good size and every facility was provided for. On main bus route to and from Edinburgh City centre making travel easy so we didn't need to use the car.

I HAVE NEVER STAYED ANYWHERE AS REVOLTING AS THIS

If I could have left 0 it would be too generous. DO NOT BOOK HERE. We paid £20 per night for our dog as the apartment had to be deep cleaned following our visit. I would say it had never been cleaned never mind deep cleaned prior to our arrival. The floor hadn’t even been swept, the fridge bin oven bathroom were dangerously filthy. The crockery and cutlery (which I think must have come out of a Christmas cracker) hadn’t been cleaned. There was so much damage in the apartment we asked the staff to check as we didn’t want to end up losing our security deposit. The owner was not embarrassed in the slightest and just said we wouldn’t be charged. There are instructions on how to use the heating but they don’t work as it is controlled by the owner and you can’t actually switch it on or off never mind control the heat. The whole place stank of filth and mustiness. Do not believe that they will be serviced during your stay, they attend once every 3 days to change the towels - 1 hand towel each and 1 tea towel (apparently you can use the washer/dryer in your apartment to wash them as if you would ever put anything in such a disgusting machine) and to empty the bin and nothing more. DO NOT BOOK HERE EVEN IF IT THE LAST ROOM IN EDINBURGH.

No heating and No help in Snowy December

Just back from a weekend in Edinburgh and stayed Lochend Service Apts with friends.
Good location and gererally good looking apt, but whole thing needs some serious TLC as not very well cleaned with grease and crumbs ontop of fridge and stains on oven door. Bedding duvee covers had an unpleasant smell.
We couldn't manage to get the heating on, so contacted those responsible and left a message. Still waiting for any response. Poor poor poor in cold weather.

Avoid!Avoid! Avoid!

As with previous reviewers Avoid at all costs. Very old pics on website accommodation very very tired very grubby. No reception at weekend no reply on phone number. Very dissatisfied with whole experience and management attitude.

Needs to increase maintenance budget

The property is away from the centre, but we travelled into town on the bus and came back with a cab in the evening.
The apartments we're a decent size and the kitchens well equipped, I found the bed to be comfy and my son appreciated the TV available in the bedroom.
The apartment had been cleaned, but would have benefitted from a more thorough clean.
The general standard was good but some items were missing or broken which is why it has only scored two out of five.
The ventilation fans in both of the bathrooms were not working, as there was no window either the bathrooms had no ventilation.
There was a missing lightbulb in the cupboard room containing the boiler so this had to be inspected by torchlight.
The window in the kitchen would not close properly, as we visited in summer it was not an issue, but if you were visiting in winter you would have a constant draft.
Should have been a three out of five review accommodation but let down by a lack of maintenance.
