All Good at check-in and during the stay, the only star was lost due to the noisy location - I guess rowdy Saturday night punters outside isn’t in the hotel’s control, but we didn’t have a restful night as we could hear a lot of shenanigans down on street level for quite some time! Otherwise it was a decent stay.

A good budget stay close to Inverness.
We can really recommend this place: We got one free beer voucher each to the pub in the Hotel building at check-in. The double bed was very "classic".
The breakfast is continental - but we can recommend to buy full Scottish breakfast for 4 GBP.
Just beware of seagulls on the free parking lots. (All parking is free in Forres).

Would not stay again very basic room dated decor barley clean shower poor cold not much pressure,a pub with rooms went out to a Chinese restaurant walking distance parking on Main Street not ideal either

Room 20 was quite difficult to sleep in due to its proximity to the roof. Those darned doves were cooing all night and morning. We could hear then moving about. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Quite sure a spring popped getting into bed. Stains on the dark carpet.
The receptionist/bartender was a great chap. He explained everything quite well. No dedicated parking, but we got a very convenient spot in front.

Yes car park nearby. The lady from the bar was lovely and friendly great service. The poor chef doing breakfast on his own was fantastic. Lovely cooked breakfast and really good service. The hotel could do with refurbishing, it’s a lovely building. We stayed 1 night as visiting family in area so served its purpose. Thank u
