Luxury Glamping all the way
Great break, was very pleased with our Pod which was spotless and well equipped. We had a lovely welcome from the owner and his pooches and we shall definitely be booking again however I shall make sure to bring extra champagne so I can utilise the cooling fridge

Wedding anniversary treat
We stayed in the Blackthorne glamping pod for two nights.Everything was perfect, from the welcome pack with eggs from their own chickens, home made chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of milk, to the facilities in the pod which included: Dishwasher, fridge,wine cooler, Bluetooth speaker system in the ceiling, small flat screen tv and luxury soaps and shower gel. Also a very comfy bed. The only thing that was not in the pod that we feel could be useful was a hairdryer, but this was only a minor issue.
Patio area was very nice with a covered seating area, we didn’t use it much as the weather was not the best during our stay.
The place is so peaceful and quiet, just what we wanted.The only company were the two horses and a visit from the two lovely labradors.
We had breakfast in the main house and it was fantastic, I can’t recommend it highly enough, the produce was top class and locally supplied. Paul who was serving us was very attentive,full of good local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him.
We had a fantastic time and will definitely return, thanks to Paul and Stuart for their hospitality.

Great place to stay in a rural setting
We booked a night here as a stepping stone on our way back to England after a tour of Scotland.
Turned out to be an excellent choice. Great hosts, lovely building (we stayed in the house - rather than a glamping pod) and lots of animals including dogs, cats, chickens and horses. We didn't get to meet the horses - just saw them in the distance but we did get to meet the lovely dogs. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent too.
The room was very comfortable and we both had a very good night's sleep. A fridge is provided on the landing which we made good use of.
Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely somewhere to return to.

Great location which worked well for our visit to the Scottish Borders
The pods are well equipped with good quality equipment and amenities and were cleaned and presented to a high standard
The welcome basket is a lovely added extra-the home baking highly acclaimed
If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience the pods are definitely for you-and being dog friendly even better

Don’t miss staying here
This is our second stay, we liked it so much we returned. Our first stay was in the house, communication prior to and during our stay was excellent, our room was lovely and the breakfast was definitely the best I have experienced in my many years of B&B dining, it was simply brilliant!
This time we opted for self catering in one of the glamping pods. It was fantastic, our dog was so happy running about the fields down to the river and eyeing up the friendly horses. You have everything you need in the pods, every small detail has been thought of to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, there is even a fire pit with seating and throws and a beautiful deck with comfy sofas and a table.
You can stock up on groceries (if you want to self cater) in Jedburgh, a few minutes drive, there are loads of cute shops ( there’s a chocolate shop!) including a good sized Co-Op. Also lots of nice places to grab a bite if you don’t want to DIY.
Our hosts, Stuart and Paul, were interesting, fun and very helpful.
