Gyros for the win!

Absolutely loving the new menu! Popped in for lunch and tried the rump steak and blue cheese sauce gyros and chicken, bacon and leek pie of the day. Everything was perfect and our server Evelyn answered all our questions especially regarding a dietary requirement. Staff are so friendly here, we return again and again!

Awful Food

Had a walk around the lake, then decided to stop off at the Hotel for food. Really disappointing. A few of us had the Roast dinner which looked and tasted like the giant Yorkshire puddings you get from Iceland with meat on top. A couple of the group had Burgers which were ok but the fries looked liked and tasted really cheap and some were rotten. Last of all the chicken gyros was like the pre packed chicken from Aldi. We were all hungry and thought would be a nice place to eat. Wether spoons served up better food by a mile . Great location.

Campervan 1 night/day stopover

Rang ahead as per SearchforSites. Arrived Friday afternoon, 2adults&1campervan. Lovely big flat carpark, great views. Checked in w reception and booked in for a meal, if eating its currently free to stayover, or can just pay2park up for the night £20. Had a few drinks from the bar, Shipyard ale and Kronenberg Blanc were both lovely, served by James who was v friendly, we sat outside on the fabulous terrace an then had food, nice menu choice and everything we had was lovely and a decent price. Situated right next to Rudyard Lake which made for a lovely walk, lots to do if like watersports, boat trips an train rides. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for allowing Camper stopovers xx

Hotel Rudyard, great all round.

What a really lovely place. We spent two nights at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff are really nice very warm and welcoming. The room was great, really big bathroom with a large shower. We had evening meals and the food and service was excellent. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and offered a good selection of choice, the full english and the vegetarian breakfast were both equally excellent and again service was excellent. All in all a really nice place and ideally located a stones throw from Rudyard lake and some stunning scenery. I would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely return.

Lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Went for a Sunday carvery had lovely food in a lovely location. Good choice of different meats and veg. Had a very attentive and helpful waitress called Jess.
