Beautiful food - and a doggy menu!!!

Lovely place, lots of outdoor seating and they have a doggy menu!!! My dog loved her chicken breast and veggies!!! Thank you so much!

Poor approach of duty manager

We have eaten here many times without issue ; bad meal today which I took back and politely explained the issue . Directed to a manager who refunded without an apology , or any conversation at all! , refund and walked away without a word !
Quite rude and very lacking In people skills for such a people facing role . Clearly my polite approach didn’t deserve any conversation ! Can forgive an off meal , it happens, but rude staff is never acceptable !

Passing off catfish as fish and chips?

Called in a couple of times over the weekend. Food was ok. But the fish in the fish and chips tasted of nothing and certainly wasn’t cod. The menu just identified it as “fish and chips”. I suspect it was “river cobbler” or thai cat fish. I wouldnt order it again.

Disappointed

Do not order a starter if you intend to eat outside!! Visited here today. I ordered off the Sunday lunch menu. I ordered a soup to start and a chicken dinner and a lamb dinner for my husband. They brought out my soup with my husband’s dinner which I mentioned this was unusual to get my starter at the same time as my husband’s main I was then informed all the food was coming out together. The chef said he was not aware it was a starter and a main and took the plate away. Only for the person who served me at the bar came out to tell me that as we are sat outside all the food comes at once. When I said a starter and main do not come out together she replied they do here. Now if she had mentioned when I placed my order I would not have placed the order for the soup. We actually left most of the food as this left or visit here not up to our expectations.

Chef with Delusions of Grandeur

Firstly, and most importantly.....I'd like to thank bar staff Tiff and Leon for not only making us feel very welcome, but also for attempting endlessly to rectify and apologise for the behaviour of the chef ( Scott).
What was supposed to be a pleasant family meal, quickly turned into an episode of Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay being the star.
The chef clearly has delusions of grandeur!
We ordered the pasta, to which the bar staff were unsure whether there was any garlic bread to accompany the meal, we simply switched it up and asked for chips instead (both sides being the same price)
Bar staff were more than happy to accommodate, however, they returned moments later saying the chef is shouting and refusing.
Staff appeared uncomfortable and and a little nervous (bullying in the workplace? There's a procedure for that)
Once our meal arrived the second barstaff said again, there has been a further disagreement in the kitchen, involving I quote 'a riot', as the chef did not put the original garlic bread on the meal anyway.....let alone the chips we ordered.
Bar staff insisted the chef cooked the garlic bread, which took a further 10 minutes once the meal was on the table.
I don't know Scott, maybe you forgot your HRT or just get off on bullying staff.
Poor Tiff and Leon, shame on you.
