Delicious food in a friendly pub

We popped here for a couple of lunches while on the Isle of Bute and they were both lovely. I can highly recommend the Scallop's gratin. Very reasonable. Lunch for two with a small glass of wine was £27 one day and £40 the next - with more food on the latter.
Very handy for the Isle of Bute (Kingarth) golf course where you can play for £20 day pass. We did 9 holes, then lunch, then another 9 holes. Can highly recommend both!

Lovely Sunday lunch

The food here was highly recommended at our holiday cottage so decided to give the Sunday lunch a try and it was excellent, the service was great and our meals were good value too.

Great wholesome food

Great place to stop and eat, with Parking available outside. It has the most amazing food which is seasonal too. Quick service with friendly staff. Suitable for all ages, locals and tourists alike and dog friendly too. Definitely worth a visit

Country Inn Stay

Spent a lovely couple of nights at this gem of a hotel. The young couple who have taken over the running of the hotel are very pleasant, helpful and obviously love what they are doing.
The hotel is a short run in the car from Rothesay in a great location and well worth a visit. Food is exceptional and we enjoyed the best cooked breakfast we have had in a long time. Great atmosphere in the bar, good choice of beers, gin, whisky etc.
Room was ok for 2 nights, upgraded bathroom with a good walk-in shower. Comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, TV was a bit of a challenge!
All in all great value for money as long as you book direct.
