Beyond perfect

Generosity, hospitality and love ooze out of The Big House on the Hill.
From the post-booking communications to James’s welcome and the house itself. James and Emily have created a space and experience that made us not want to leave.
We had the most wonderful time and loved everything. From the delicious food to the cosy rooms, comfy beds and uplifting decor. It was everything we wanted and more.

Best Stay of My Life!

Staying at Plas Uchaf was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. My family stayed for a week for my wedding and it was incredible. I quite honestly don't have all the words to say how wonderful it was! The house is gorgeous, inside and out. The grounds are lush and lovely. The rooms are perfectly appointed and everyone is made to feel so, so welcome. James is the best host and looked after all 15 of us every day - including cooking amazing meals! If I have one wish in life, it's to go back to Plas Uchaf as soon as possible! Do yourself a huge favor and stay here.

Total Bliss

This break was utter bliss. The friendly welcome to a beautiful house decorated with such style and elegance with a relaxing feel.
Our bedroom no 1 was stunning looking over the front fields and gardens to the hills. We had a en-suite with a separate roll top bath! And a separate shower with great pressure.
Our stay was so great as we hadn’t slept at home well for a while well we certainly did here the bed was so comfy and the pillows were like heaven!
Even had to ask where they were from!
If you want a beautiful relaxing stay book here!.
Lots to do in the surrounding areas a beautiful waterfall where we went walking and the Welsh beach’s are bliss!.

It doesn’t get better than this.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, nothing is too much trouble. James made sure that every detail was set for us to have the stay of our dreams.
The house itself is just stunning. Every time you look out of the bedroom window in the morning, you realise how important it is to just slow down. Watching the farmer herd sheep next door and the collie dog whipping around them like a caring mom.
Then you take a stroll downstairs, taking in the features of the property and imagining what the house has seen all these years.
I really could spend all day typing up how I already miss Plas Uchaf. You’ll just have to go and see for yourself.

Great house in great location

Beautiful house in a gorgeous setting in an area of Wales we’d not really explored previously. Our family group ranged in age from 75 years to 17 months. Everyone loved the house and grounds and we all agreed we’d stay again. The beds were particularly comfortable, essential after a hard day’s exploring!!! Would definitely recommend Plas Uchaf.
