Fit for purpose, no-frills, budget accommodation near Kings Cross Station

This is a no frills, budget accomodation on Argyle Square near Kings Cross and Euston Rail Stations that we have stayed at handful of times over the years including a recent one night stay during a recent visit to the U.K. It is conveniently located for those with upcoming train trips or those having returned and seeking a place near the stations.
Reservation was made through booking.com. Email confirmation of booking was received immediately. Online check-in link and instructions are sent a couple days prior to stays. Completing ahead of time speeds up the check-in process significantly upon arrival. We were well received and had our room key in just a couple minutes. There is left luggage storage and the front desk is manned 24 hours a day.
Rooms at Angus are very small, compact and functional. There is space for luggage under the beds, a small desk and chair, kettle with coffee & tea packages. The room comes with a TV and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is tiny, just enough space for a toilet, stand in shower and small sink. There is no A/C but windows open so you can let fresh air into your room.
On the whole, Angus gets the important things right for those just wanting an affordable bed for a night or two, while staying near the stations. We had another good stay here and will happily return during U.K. trips which include train trips out of Kings Cross or Euston in the future.

Detailed review for you.

My opinion is very nuanced: Regarding the room itself, it is very small, especially the bathroom. It is difficult to sit on the toilet given the minimal space existing between it and the sink. And I would say that between the shower and the toilet there is only nearly 1m of space, including the sink in that. A very big problem as well: the bathroom door would not lock and furthermore, could open by mistake if an awkward bump was given from the inside, difficult to maintain one's privacy if one comes with family or friends. The bed is rather comfortable but the room contains no storage. My belongings therefore had to stay in the suitcase during my week of vacation.
However, the positive point is that the cleanliness of this hotel is impeccable. The housekeeper comes every morning and there were no cleanliness issues upon my arrival at the hotel.
Furthermore, the hotel is more than well-located: the train station is right next door. This is very convenient for arrival as well as departure. And the same goes for getting around London throughout the stay, it is perfectly served.
The TV could have been a plus but it is not a smart TV, too bad.

Room was small and basic but had everything you needed. Unfortunately it was very hot in London and even with the fan on there was no way to keep the room at a comfortable temperature so because of this I wouldn't stay again.

Great stay!

We stayed for one night whilst visiting family in Perth and it was a great stay.
They were super accommodating with us having a 3 month old and managed to get us a room that fit our needs.
Despite there being an event on the night we stayed, the noise level wasn't too bad.
The room was clean and tidy and even better location on the first floor which was handy for us with our wee one.
The breakfast was great and we loved the fact there was so many choices.
I would like to thank the staff and especially Savannah who helped us in booking the room. We would definitely stay again.
