Very comfortable
Excellent service throughout our stayStaff very accommodating!
Rooms were very small however that is evident from reading previous reviews and too be honest what I would expect from price. Very clean, basics supplied, tea coffe, soap etc.
Breakfast was just what we needed, bacon was delicious, cooked to perfection.
Would absolutely stay again.

Breakfast Shambles
Went for breakfast and there were no big tables. There’s on only 7 in the room
For the whole hotel, and only 2 of them are for families of 4.
There was one with 3 and it was up against the wall with a huge gap so I moved it and put a chair so we could sit down.
He come out and said no, you have to sit on two tables of two and made a hand gesture towards them.
So we split up (I was not happy, as we don't go as a family with children to sit separately)
Then he came back in and said to my partner can you move to another table at the opposite side of the room, so he did.
Then he came BACK in and said to me and my daughter NO I said that table of two and told us to move again to the table he had just moved my partner and daughter from.
They were both tables of three anyway and he’d literally said which one to sit at, so I said You TOLD me to sit there and he said, " No, I didn't" and told me I was a liar in front of the entire room.
Then the woman came over and said white or brown toast, I said white please but she must not have heard properly, and she said EXCUSE ME with right attitude
So I said "AGAIN, white PLEASE"
Then she said ohhh sorry I didn’t hear. So I had a face like thunder and she had the CHEEK to say to my partner as loud as she could, I think your wife’s Angry
We didn't bother going on the last day
The place is old fashioned and run down (but clean).
You can hear every underground train shake the place every 10 mins until 11pm
Breakfast is only 7am - 9am as well so without enough tables when its full, you will be split up or made to stand outside and wait, especially if you're a family. So hopefully you don't have a booking to get to.

Lovely hotel but would pick lower floor
Excellent location for Hyde Park. Friendly staff can’t do enough for you. Rooms clean and breakfast lovely. Only down side was the rooms are very small but they are clean and bed comfy. Bathroom is small but adequate and clean. I would have gone 5stars because staff really can’t do enough for you I would have just have like to have been pre armed about the amount of stairs and how steep they are to get to fourth floor. We would have requested a lower floor or picked somewhere else as my husband has heart condition and it took its toll. I would still recommend this place to people.

Ups and downs.
Very clean, staff helpful and friendly.
Breakfast plentiful and very good value.
Plenty of hot water in small but sufficient room for one.
Plenty of tea/coffee etc.
Location excellent for transport links. I had a basement room which was near dining room so noisy early and room also
VERY noisy as underground rails and trains rattle through ( literally shaking the tea tray) every 15 mins. Ask for upstairs room, it may help but if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. This meant little sleep for me.
Also noisy at breakfast
Lots of eateries and general shops very close.
Has potential to be really good. But DON'T STAY IN BASEMENT.

Perfect place regarding it’s close to Paddington station and Hyde park but it’s very dated old carpets peeling paint etc
I’m giving it 4/5 as we were only there one night and the staff were friendly
Apart from having to move tables at breakfast ( no one else used the table while we were there?) our room was up 4 flights of steep stairs
Which is not easy to carry up your bags
The room was extremely small and only one plug socket!!!!
The TV didn’t work and the bathroom was the smallest one I have ever seen
But the beds were clean and very comfortable
We left our cases there while we did a bit more sightseeing but we were told to just leave them in the reception
They were not locked up or even behind the reception desk
So we decided to go back and get them, when we did the reception was full of people and we thought our cases could have been taken at any time and the staff wouldn’t have seen or noticed
