Would have been great if not for the noisy AC units
Decent location a short walk from Waterloo Station, with a handful of solid restaurant and bar options close by. Staff were genuinely friendly rather than fake, and the bar does great cocktails.
The room itself was a mixed bag. AC worked well (great during the recent heatwave) but my room happened to be adjacent to the AC units, which were pretty noisy (like a car engine). The hotel was fully booked so a move wasn't possible. However, room-to-room sound isolation was good, and I faced the station rather than the street so heard nothing from outside.
A Chromecast or equivalent would be a welcome addition to the TVs. The Marshall amps in the room left me slightly baffled - apparently you can hire a guitar, which explains it, though I'm not sure who the target guest is there. The Bluetooth speakers, on the other hand, were a nice touch.
I loved the products in the bathroom, you even got a choice of two shower gels. I thought Nescafe packets as the coffee offering was a bit poxy for a supposedly luxury hotel though - they could have offered Nespresso pods or something.

Ruby Lucy is in a great location, lots of amenities and restaurants right at your door, and Waterloo station a few mins walk away. The hotel is adorable and quirky. The shared tea/coffee station on each floor is far better than the 1 or 2 tea bags you normally get. I would definitely make this my go-to London hotel!

Great stay, just a few minor drawbacks that some people might want to be aware of.
Positives:
Speedy check-in (I suggest filling in all details online, otherwise you'll have to type them on a tablet at the bar) and an even faster check-out. Free drinks near the room. Quietness everywhere, especially inside the room. Nice room design and even better comfort. Breakfast is rich, offering everything a continental breakfast has to offer (though it's not a typical American/UK breakfast, see negative below). The hotel is easy to find and reach, just a 3-5 minute walk form the underground. There is a busy market on the same street with great food, as well as good restaurant nearby (I suggest the Italian place a few doors down). Great staff and company (you'll always end up chatting with the staff, as they are all young and friendly). Overall, a great experience! I strongly recommend staying here, even though I'm listing the following negatives (which are minor details compared to the great service they offer).

When data is not in the system, I wish they would automatically switch to manual check-in at reception. It would've been nice to have some small snacks or sweets with the free drinks. The speaker in the room worried me a bit, I'd panic if a guest next door started playing guitar in the middle of the night (not sure if they're allowed, I didn't ask). The restaurant lacked hot food (excluding pizza and sandwhiches), it would've been nice to have a proper meal like spaghetti, a bowl of noodles, or some meat. Breakfast also lacked hot food such as bacon, scramble eggs, waffles, fries, or a standard UK breakfast. I couldn't sync my phone with the TV app to watch Netflix. You can't get picked up by a driver outside the door during day hours because of the market, so you need to walk to the main road first (which isn't far, but still). They have heavy doors on the floor, and at one point I thought I was locked out. They don't offer room service and there is no phone to contact reception, so you always have to walk down or call the number on the website (Piero was the only one who offered room service anyway, and he also helped us with a TV issue in the middle of the night, lovely staff always helpful and available). No ice machine (or at least none that I could see). The vending machine was a hassle, asking for age verification for everything... I couldn't buy a single thing. That's all I remember. Hope it was helpful!

Fantastic customer service
My daughter recently stayed here to attend a festival, her first solo trip to London. Whilst at the festival she lost her phone. The staff at Ruby Lucy (Marcelo, Su & Ionut) were absolutely fantastic. Not only did they email me to let me know she had arrived back safely but they also ensured she remained safe whilst trying to locate her phone. I can't thank them enough.

If you need better room you'll have to pay for it, totally worth it.
We decided this hotel because of all the good reviews and it was kinda spot on.
We booked two separates room, one for me and my fiance, the other one for my parents. Only two persons are allowed per room.
They were both on the higher rate, we went for a lovely. Personally it was worth the price. I've read contrasting feedback of rooms being to small or others not having basic needs like a wardrobe but we didn't get that problem.
Room was quiet, spacious, silent, complete of everything, and comfy.
Many comments celebrate the staffs, and... they're right to do so. All great people. Location is fine, is not in the main busy road, but it get seriously busy during the day (since is a market street).
Not sure what else to mention, I might edit this review if something comes to mind.
Thanks to Piero, Su, and all the rest of the staff for the great impression and for their help on having the best stay possible here in London, specially for my parents.
