5 Star B&B

Swinside End Farm is an excellent B&B host Karen was very welcoming on our arrival. Our room was lovely and clean en-suite with all the toiletries tea and coffee in the room, bed was very comfy & the view was amazing. The rooms downstairs are beautiful, breakfast was outstanding Karen couldn’t do enough for you always making sure everything was ok. Definitely going back already booked. Thank you Karen & Andrew x

Unbeatable.

We’ve been coming here for 24 years and I defy anyone to find a better B and B. Karen and Andrew are the perfect couple and the perfect hosts. The facilities are spotless, so tastefully decorated and maintained, and the breakfasts are something to behold. We’ll carry on coming as long as we are able!

Quiet with fantastic views.

Arrived at a fabulously decorated farmhouse, with the most immaculate garden. Our room had everything we needed and more! Spectacular view across the aforementioned garden, the valley to the fells in the distance. Karen our host maintains a truly 5 star accommodation, with personal toiletries, not just little bottles, dressing gown, a seating area to gaze out over the garden and all the usual things you'd expect. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, sheet and a quilt. Everything was spotless. We heard nothing even though it is a working farm. The cock crowed at 7am, but I barely heard him and my husband said he didn't at all!
Our breakfast set us up for a days walking. There was plenty of choice, including cereals and yogurt, fresh fruit and of course the full English. I wish we'd booked two nights. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

A Happy Return

We first stayed at Swinside End Farm two years ago and were absolutely knocked out with not only the house but also the super hospitality of both Karen and Andrew.
We were unable to return last year due to illness so it was so nice to be able to visit yet again. It was especially nice to find that our happy memories of the place and not been exaggerated over time as the farm is still impeccable and the welcome warm.
Once again we had the Low Fell room with its amazing views and were lucky enough to have our breakfast table in the lounge facing not only the Fells but an abundance of birds feeding off the feeders in the immaculate garden. How Karen fits it all into a day defies belief but she does and with a wonderful smile
Like Arnie "We will be back" and once again many thanks, Karen and Andrew for your hospitality and help. We would highly recommend Swinside End to everyone and will, all being well be back for sure next year

Fabulous - would definitely recommend!

Stayed for two nights with family members to attend a wedding nearby. The place was perfect all round. Lovely room with access to lounge and conservatory. Our room, overlooking the gardens had the most amazing views. Just wished we’d been there long enough to see the local area. Good excuse to return maybe ...
