Great hotel in a central Manchester location. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good. Would recommend and we'll be back.

A hotel of two halves

The frontage, reception and breakfast area of this hotel are stunning. It smells incredible when you walk in and customer service was excellent from every staff member we spoke to, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I chose to add on breakfast for £12/night which was good value.
However, as soon as we stepped out of the lift it was like we were in a completely different hotel. The 1960’s decor didn’t match the ground floor at all. Our room was very shabby, particularly the bathroom. It had a very small window and was generally quite depressing.
Overall it was cheap compared to other options so it a good place to sleep if you are heading on a night out in Manchester, but not the luxury hotel it looks like on the website. We wouldn’t rebook.

The reception is really lovely and has bene done out so well however the room was very run down and aged, they are in desperate need of an update. Carpets throughout were in a teerible state.There is an all hours pizza menu but this isnt printed and we struggled to find this, would be better if in rooms clearly. For a little extra we would stay somewhere much nicer in future

Hotel lobby is nice and clean.
Staff are friendly.
Breakfast was ok.
Corridors were very warm.
Air-conditioning in room didnt work very well.
Extractor fan in bathroom made a loud noise which was constant
