Such a hot day we were pleased to have a fab and portable aircon too.
Comfortable bed helpful staff.
29mins walk into Matlock Bath very easy..

Not the best experience

We stayed in the high tour hotel for 1 night when we got there no one was in reception was told that we had to come back and check in at 3,
After checking in and having a meal in the restaurant which was lovely and they even did plain chicken and chips for my fussy husband
When returning to our room it smelt fusty cobwebs above the bed and on the clock a dirty table were tea fercitlies was lipstick in the new toilet roll black mould all over the window in the bedroom
Mould in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling then the bottom sheet came back when pulling the quilt back to get into bed and there was a old dirty mattress protector on the bed with stains all over it and when taking the mattresses proctor of there was blood stains on the mattress and old dirty dried wee stains on the other side.
After letting staff know about this who originally said that they couldn’t do anything as the hotel was full then after about 15 mins they decide put about 5 clean sheets on the mattress and a quilt on top which was still not the best and didn’t clean the cobwebs away or remove the toilet roll would not recommend staying here as felt uncomfortable and dirty

The restaurant excellent and the restaurant staff were lovely. We had a really great meal! However, the room wasn’t great. It’s quite basic, it could do with a deep clean and some TLC. Bathroom was modern, but again hadn’t been cleaned very well. When we arrived, it was a heatwave and the window had been left closed, making the room extremely hot and musty smelling. The smell seemed to linger for a while. The bed was comfortable enough. There’s a spotlight on the building all night which made it too bright for sleeping. I’d highly recommend the restaurant.

We walked into our room for my birthday get away to a room that hadn't yet been serviced & fake tan all over the pillows, ugh. When we did finally get in there were lots of cobwebs, floor needed a good hoover. Needed a deep clean.
That said the room itself was very big. Beautiful decor, very large bath, but no tissues. We had a curry in their restaurant but it wasn't for me. Husband enjoyed his.

We'll beyond expectations .Fabulous clean modern rooms. First class bedding and huge soft towels. Perfect position half way between matlock Bath and matlock. Just park and walk. Very scenic. Staff absolutely Amazing. Full English delicious for 12.99 each . Really is a beautiful hotel and at a beautiful position and such a reasonable price. Many thanks for making our stay a very memorable one. Definitely be back and looking forward to dining in you're beautiful indian restaurant xx
