Do not expect a reply from emails. The staff/management are truly first class. We feared that we would hear the busy road, but, good double glazing was a saviour. If you eat in their restaurant expect the most
service .

Room was clean. Floor board were squeaky but for a Friday night it was a quiet room. Supplied ear buds were not required. Great location for a walk the next day alongside the canal.

Terrible reply

This is a response to the management reply on our review.
We initially sat outside yes, the area had not been cleaned. Cigarette butt's and ash over the seats, food under the tables and the tables and booths unclean. Went inside and was shown where to sit as restaurant not open. Yes ordered food, flies everywhere inside. Asked young man for fly spray or to move said no and didn't have spray. Food came out, had two bites but the flies and lack of support from the team made it impossible to eat or enjoy. We advised the lad we were not happy. He did not offer to speak to a manager. So paid for the drinks we had, even though didn't finish them, was not asked to pay for the food and did say we were not happy. Young girl behind the bar apologised so we left. Before management reply please get your facts straight.

Phoned before our visit and asked for a walk in shower because of my husbands mobility and also gluten-free food. On arriving allocated a room with shower over bath not suitable at all but no alternative,, food at restaurant good, but breakfast they had no gluten-free bread. The room was clean but basic and there was no fridge in the room. On leaving there were no staff about to help with luggage.
Wouldn't have wanted to stay more than one night.
