Cosy country pub

Staying nearby at lindisfarne so found this pub for Sunday lunch, a short drive away. Staff friendly as we sat and ordered our food and drink. We both opted for the Sunday roast of beef with a good assortment of vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding with plenty of gravy at £18 which was delicious. Too full for pudding in this nice friendly old inn.

Excellent place, clean, tidy and excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. Going the extra mile all to make you feel welcome. 100% stay there again.

Lovely village pub with good parking and beer garden

A lovely pub where we had a family lunch outside with our dogs. Very obliging staff with a really good menu choice - something for everyone. Even accommodated our 3 dogs which some water. Definitely recommend

A hidden gem!

I can’t say enough about our stay. The room, in the chalet, was very clean well furnished, tea and coffees, the on suite, was also very clean and modern, it has a charming bar, great choices, super friendly staff, nothing is too much for them. Great restaurant and food. Good prices.

Worth considering for an overnight stopover

A pub with a friendly relaxed atmosphere, ample parking and in a quiet location. My room was outside motel-style with coffee-making facility and a reasonably comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, and my only criticism was that there were no handrails on the shower-bath for safety when getting in and out. The food from the limited menu was reasonably good 'pub food' and there was a separate dining-room away from the bar if preferred.
