One night stay before catching a train, so convenient as right across the road. Very comfortable room and lovely large bathroom

A nice building but rooms dated.
Was expecting a little more from The Penthouse suite.
Overall clean room, hassle free stay and staff pleasant

Overall the hotel is lovely but unfortunately shortly after checking in another guest used a key to enter our room. Thankfully we were still just unpacking and not getting showered or changed. They had been given the same room as us. We went out for the evening and upon returning couldn’t get into our room due to all the keys cards being cancelled. This has vet made me think twice before I would book this hotel again.

No aircon in a small hot deluxe room. Reception changed our room which was great but they didn't say that the room we were given had no proper lift access, was a long walk to West Wing with an additional 43 stairs to navigate and confusing corridors. TV remote was replacement that wasn't easy and no phone.
Breakfast was really good and the staff there were very helpful as were the reception staff at checkout.

Let down by Restaurant.

Hotel in great location for train station and has very friendly staff. Hotel is well furnished and clean but bedrooms are a bit small with very little space to get around bottom of bed. Room was very hot during the night with no air conditioning so had a very poor nights sleep.
Breakfast was fine but hotel is totally let down by the poor running, and food quality of the included Hudson Restaurant. Visited for dinner on August 30th and it was a complete shambles from start to finish. Put a a black mark on an excellent weekend in Newcastle.
