Great location
Great location for Fistral beach which is opposite the hotel. . Staff were incredibly helpful and nice sauna/spa area. Parking is tricky but it is free on the road if you find a space.

Not 4 Star!!!!
This is not really a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star with a swimming pool and view! Accommodation lacking in parking spaces, so if none available, you are forced to park on the main road! You will be told it’s free to park there, but at 7.30 am on the day of our departure, we witnessed four traffic wardens booking numerous vehicles! Breakfast is mediocre, very limited choice on the continental section, no meats, cheeses! Hot selections are poor quality products, similar to what you would get in a ‘premier inn’! We booked for an early breakfast as we had an early flight. When we were eventually allowed in, it was pretty obvious they weren’t prepared! No hot selections, staff walking in with boxes of yoghurts, no butters/jams/marmalade etc! This meant we were forced to hurry to get away in good time! At a cost of £200 per night, we expected a higher level of service/food quality and comfort.
For our next stay in Newquay, we will be looking for a different place to stay? Just to add, we don’t usually do reviews, but on this occasion we felt we had to voice our opinions as we were disappointed with our experience at the Esplanade Hotel.

Phenomenal stay
Just returned from a phenomenal family holiday at the esplanade - a fantastic hotel, they put on so much for the kids to do and the staff are so helpful. Food was excellent too. Thank you!

Bad experience dissapointed
8th August park was a night mare
They don’t tell you on booking unless you ask if you can reserve a spot ! The bed is a very small double you can feel this springs pilllows awful my partner is 6ft 6 hanging over the edge
Dogs walking sarong upstairs in rooms mi was covered in few bites
I was since told after composing to booking.com the complaints have to go through hotel !
We left full day and night early to get heck to kids as I was bitten death !
£1400 holiday no breakfast closet ship easily 5 miles on heat
Asked for a nights refund as a gesture refused
Very disappointing
Location good across from beach but that’s it
Fir the price I don’t recommend this hotel

Stay at esplanade
Hotel very clean, facilities very good, Very good selection of breakfast items, staff outstanding couldn’t do enough for us! Enjoyed our visit so much I have rebooked to take my grandchildren for a few days in Augyst!
