A lovely hotel, either as a stopover or a base for touring the area. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, the restaurant manager was lovely guy and the girl in charge of breakfasts managed to be courteous, friendly and efficient despite coping with breakfast service all on her own. Highly recommended.

Can do better !!

Wonderful staff, but plenty left to be desired considering the money we paid to stay. Restaurant menu can be slightly improved too!!

Unable to stay due to having a fall down 2 flights of stairs and breaking my back in glasgow tried to cancel booking but hotels.com not easy to deal with when in queen elizabeth university hospital glasgow. Would like to discuss with hotels.com as had insurance taken out

Nice staff and place! So nice that they do takeaway lunches and they have delicious dinner.
They only gave us one roll of toilet paper, so we had to ask for more. There are great showers!

The stron over the last generation

I have read several revues this morning re the stronlossit hotel/public bar. Yes I class it as a public bar joined onto to the hotel.Myself & my two walking pals have been patronising the place for near on 30 years & yes it as had good times & some pretty tough times. Over the past er 4,5 years it has had an influx of Eastern European management & staff. One as to understand the demure of these people towards their body language.Like most establishments it is run on a tight staff budget to survive hence the staff are over worked and basically exhausted.O K you say get more staff doesn’t work like that.We are on our way up to Roy bridge next week staying at a lodge at bunroy camp site a nice 7 minute walk to the stron & will be eating & drinking there for at least 5 nights.Its basic pub grub & good ale to finished off with fine malts.We have never stayed at the hotel as we have camped over the years until I read the riot act re comfortable accommodation. To which I can certainly recommend bunroy camp site.Over the years Scotland has had a huge influx of European workers and the need to understand their demur is needed.I hope this gives virgin tourists into Roy bridge an insight into the Stron !! We enjoy the public bar every year after a tough day on the hills around.
p.s the views towards the grey corries are enough to make you linger a while.
