Good place to explore Mull

We stayed in the Teacher’s Apartment. Very clean and spacious, good kitchen, plus parking on premises. The town itself is small, but has a well-stocked supermarket and is a convenient point for exploring the stunning Isle of Mull. There is a hotel with restaurant next to the Old School. The food is average, but we had a great evening loosing from the locals in quiz night!

Warm and welcoming

My sister and I stayed in the bottom apartment of the Old School for six nights at the end of April.
Salen is a really excellent place to position yourself for exploring Mull, and we were really glad that we chose this as our accommodation. We were so happy with our choice.
The apartment is absolutely beautiful, and is beautifully decorated and very very cosy! Communication during & prior to our stay was excellent and we felt incredibly welcomed when we arrived. There is plenty of room for parking and there was even some milk in the fridge on arrival!
I really can’t fault the apartment at all. The rooms were comfortable as were the beds. Be aware that there is no washing machine machine in the bottom apartment if that is something that is important to you. The bathroom was clean and spacious although the water pressure is quite weak.
We were given tips on where to travel on the island and had a lovely chat with Heather, the owner, while we were there. There is a small supermarket up the road and also some really beautiful places that you can eat on the street. I highly recommend the little bakery across the road.
If you are looking to have a day off driving, there is a bus that you can catch just opposite the supermarket.
I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful and cosy apartment!

Spacious, clean apartment, fully equipped. Mull is beautiful.

Pros · Spacious, clean apartment, including a washing machine. 2 bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom. Everything you could need was provided, even dishwasher tablets, tea, dish brush etc. The SPAR is within walking distance, 3 minutes, so you can take care of your own meals. The temperature is easy to control and windows can be opened. Mull is beautiful: forests, lakes/sea. Please note that you have to climb the stairs to the apartment and that there are also a few steps inside. On the bg is a ground floor apartment.
Cons · The double bed was very small for us. That is why one of us slept in the other bedroom on the single bed.
