Excellent Value for Money – Adnan’s Hotel & Gables Hotel Collaboration
Why did I give it 5/5?
First of all, this is the only place near the airport where you can stay for £49 per night as a family of 2 adults and 3 children, with two double beds in one room – that alone makes it worth it!
We called the reception thinking it was “Adnan’s Hotel,” but we were actually welcomed by Gables Hotel Solihull. It seems that the photos provided might be from rooms at Adnan’s Hotel, not Gables – the actual rooms at Gables Hotel are different.
Still, in terms of price-performance and cleanliness, it’s a perfectly acceptable place to stay.
First of all, this is the only place near the airport where you can stay for £49 per night as a family of 2 adults and 3 children, with two double beds in one room – that alone makes it worth it!

Terrible stay
If I could select a zero I would have. We as a family of four had no choice but to stay one night while waiting for a flight home , the smell in the whole place, the dirt , broken toilet no handle , the dirt in the mattresses , springs popping out, no internal locks to the rooms. Didn’t feel safe at all. Not friendly hosts.

Would give it a zero of I could
Whilst staying at Adnans hotel we encountered multiple problems with our room. Initially our room seemed clean, however apon further inspection we found food waste in the bottom of the sink, a couple of dog balls in our room and there was food in the cupboard. As well as this we found the ceiling in the bathroom had suffered significant water damage and our room did not lock from the outside (also a different room as advertised). To further this negative experience we found mud stains on the carpet, the bed seemed to be slanted, with noticeable stains on the mattress & sheets and the bottom of the shower curtain was grim. Although the man that showed us to our room was very nice.

Bates motel style
Disgusting bates motel like building.
We entered a horrible building off the busy main road next to the airport. We got rudely greeted by a man at the reception who abruptly spoke over us. The room itself we were directed to passing through a dilapidated hall foyer. He opens the door for us and as we walk in we wish we turned around. Credit where credit is due the flooring is new in the room. However we were greated by a lingering smell which was unknown as to what it was. Then as you look at the dripped wax mark bed frame topped with a thick layer of dust which is additionally covering the blinds of the room and windowsill not to mention the random packet of pills in the draw of the bedside table. Moving over to the towels. There was a brown poo like mark dotted all over the fibres. The bathroom itself has a toilet that won’t flush and the shower is cold and never goes hot. And the random incense sticks left wedged into the extractor fan. Let’s see what else…. Oh yeah the dodgy wire trunking, the tv with the antennae you have to hold up to receive a signal. The radiator think with Dust and dirty. The wobbly wardrobe that rocks side to side and containing no coat hangers. And to be rudely awoken after a night on the bed of springs poking into your back by builders in the room upstairs drilling and hammering. The plaster board falling down from the ceiling.
All in all my stay here was horrible and I wish to never come back here again. I’ll leave a honest review with some lovely photos for everyone to view. Oh and they can thank me for buying cleaning products to clean their messy room

We actually turned up and drove away! Its a vile place. We'd paid £90 for 2 nights which yes is cheap, but I've paid less for nicer places!
I asked for a refund stating a death! Because I didn't want to upset them by telling them their hotel was so bad, but they replied with we can't give you a refund!! So its good to know they are unaccommodating so that I can write a complete truthful review!
It was a youth hostel, which was not stated on the booking site I used (Agoda)! It was grotty. It was on an extremely busy road with a lot of rubbish behind the building and the rubble made car park. Mattresses, piles of wood and probably a lot of rats!! etc.! Unsafe looking area and lots of signs basically saying leave your car at your own risk!!
I was definitely not going to stay here and so ended up spending another £120 to stay at the Ramada instead!
Also, never book through Agoda as their service is appalling. Their website never works properly and their customer service is terrible.
